The first of eight home games this month tonight as the Lewiston MAINEiacs come to town. They should be a hungry hockey team as they have already lost twice to us this season and will be looking to end that streak tonight. They're also coming off a very dissapointing loss in St.John's on Sunday when they blew a 3-0 lead going into the 3rd period, only to lose 4-3.
We will have to play much better than our recent lackluster home ice performances or we could be in for yet another lopsided home defeat. Remember that Lewiston only showed up for 5-10 minutes the last time they were in town and only escaped with a 7-6 win, and we had a 6-2 lead at one point.
David Crossman makes his QMJHL debut tonight and it will be interesting to see how he makes the transition from Jr.A to Major Junior tonight. He has been very good with the Beavers so far this season. Sniderman in goal I assume.

I am gonna say 4-2 for the Cats with Riopel in net. That's cause you're an unrealistic homer..............Lewiston is pissed off for just losing in Newfoundland and they are the best team in our division........those 2 things will give them the win in Moncton.....

I think tonight we will be in a little bit of trouble. Lewiston "should" still be pissed about losing their last game when they had the lead in the third. If Lewi comes out as hard as I think they will this will be a good test for our guys. I still think unless Riopel plays a great game we probably won't win this one. Hope I am wrong.

I think Riopel is getting the start. I don't get the Acadie-Nouvelle which actually provides that type of information so thanks for filling me in!!

I don't know if it was in any newspaper but I think Riopel should get the start. He played real well in the 2nd game of the 3 in 3 and if Torchetti really likes going with the hot hand then it's his game. I predict at 6-2 Lewiston win. I'm not pessimist, I'm realistic.

It was in L'Acadie Nouvelle this morning.
This team is hard to predict. I figure it will be a tight one tonight. 4-3 Lewiston

well whatever the score is I hope the refs do (or don't do) their parts and call a good game, and the Maineiacs play up to their potential. Good luck to both teams and hoping the road team comes out with the two point, no offense. We do have three in three nights, and four in five nights, so it will take it's toll on the team so we have to come out strong in the first two games at least.

Webcasts in general are garbage- every time I try to log onto one there's something wrong with it.

1) Wow. I'm not sure what to think of that game. Both coaches had plenty of things to cringe about....that was U-G-L-Y.
2) We really needed Riopel to stand tall and stop one of the two goals caused by AMac (either the shorthanded one or the other after losing the puck).
3) I'd love to be able to know what Bernier was thinking during that game...talk about up and down, emotionally.
4) The people who left early, when it was 7-6 with 2 or 3 minutes left, are just plain stupid. Honestly, why bother even coming to the game?
