Billy and Steve you are both exposing yourselves for the hockey poseurs you really are. Occasionally you show insight and knowledge but lately it seems what you have is an attitude that if anyone disagrees with you they are morons.
Blanchard is thriving now because he is getting regular playing time..something he did not get in 2004-05 when he should have. Pulling Riopel on Wednesday is not the only issue but a symptom. Sitting him on the bench for 6 or 7 consecutive games (sorry if my number is not accurate like your recall but I actually have a life away from this board), pulling him in at least two of his starts, etc. does not build confidence. You guys have been touting Sniderman as a possible trade option..so we will be left with a starting goalie who knows the coach doesn't believe in him?
You two should never accuse another poster of flip-flopping. I understand that baiting is an essential part of a forum like this and I have to admit you are both master baiters but be consistent.
And Steve relying on cutesy litlle girl put downs about purse cleaning shows you are totally bereft of any form of wit or retort. Comments like that only serve to reveal that you are a mental as well as a physical midget.

Your coach is scared to lose........Riopel will make a good 18 year old backup next year, because of the lack of confidence they are showing in him.

Comments like that only serve to reveal that you are a mental as well as a physical midget. If the coaching staff doesn't believe in him why did he get the start for the home opener? Riopel was outstanding in the home opener... but initially, Torchetti rotated him and Sniderman on a game by game basis... probably because the two are very close in talent level. Sniderman then started to outplay Riopel... which earned him those consecutive starts. Given the situation, a 50/50 split between the two would've been contingent on Riopel playing as well or better than Sniderman. That has not occured consistantly, therefore the split is more like 60/40... which is about what I expected, personally. If I'm coaching and I have a 17 year old kid out there giving up soft goals or just being lit up in general, I'm most likely going to spare that kid any extra aggrevation/embarrasment and pull that kid. btw... he's been pulled twice... Sniderman has been pulled once this year. Riopel has also gone the distance in a high scoring game (7-4 loss in Bathurst last month). At the same time, both goalies have been instrumental in us winning a couple of games thus far (Riopel being the home opener and the win in Chicoutimi... Sniderman being the wins in Rimouski and St. John's, reportedly). I fail to see how anyone could have any serious issues with the way our goaltending is being handled... it's playing out almost exactly like I expected it to.

I think you can add to that list the win in Lewiston a couple weeks ago, Cats got outshot 38-21 and won in a shootout with Sniderman getting 1st star. www.lhjmq.qc.ca/lang_en/index.php?page=342374&id_partie=4976

Comments like that only serve to reveal that you are a mental as well as a physical midget. I'm not a fan of Riopel sitting for more than 10 days...however, your reasoning is flawed. I'd like to see Riopel get more regular work, but so far his workload is good for a 17 year old rookie. He should be a solid starter next year and could be a frontline goalie at 19. How many Q goalies were starters at 17? I would venture to say that it's no more than 5%, it's only the MA Fleurys and Jonathan Berniers of the world. Name me a 17 year old that is the starter on his team this year. There may be one but I can't think of any. Blanchard always had good potential but what held him back wasn't the fact that he only started 20 games at 17, it was because he was rail thin and not developped physically. just like a d-man that's not strong enough to win 1 on 1 battles, his lack of physical strength hurt him in his recovery(stopping 2nd and 3rd shots) and he wore down quickly, as we saw in game 3 or 4 here, he was exhausted.

But you are not Borat, Steve, he's actually funny, you on the other hand, are just an inferior little man trying to make yourself out to be smarter than you are by putting others down. I believe everyone has the right to post their own opinions/thoughts/suggestions, but personal attacks and name calling (You've done it too many times to list them all here) belongs back in grade three and true, respectful, Moncton Wildcats' Fans do not deserve to be subjected to your useless drivel. But hey, it's just Steve, so it's okay, right? Now why don't you bend over so I too can kiss your ass, right after I'm done cleaning out my purse.

Could it be some sort of sub-conscious habit... perhaps on account of every woman you've dated has been at least 6" taller than you? Just a thought....
