Energy players are nice, but Morehouse is not worth a potential 50 goal scorer...or a PPGM guy like Mangan. The 3rd spot should be a top 4 d-man to play with Barberio Ouskun Pianosi(+ possibly a Euro). Keeping Morehouse and trading Marquardt or Mangan is better then keeping Marquardt and Mangan and losing Morehouse for almost nothing. Morehouse brings alot more then what you can receive in a trade. EDIT: If we're as bad as Porker says we'll be(I don't disagree) the big number 61 won't have to worry about showing up for the playoffs Keeping a guy like Morehouse around next year would be as good for the team as keeping Gaudet around this year.

Maybe has to do with some of his contacts in the US. My only question is why was he not drafted last season?? Or is he not eligible because of his location CT?? Would he be classified as an FA??

Article in today's A-N said the Cats were aggressively pursuing some FAs as well as euros, and that moving up in the euro draft was going to be somewhat dependant on whom they are able to land as FAs prior to that.
Interesting to hear Pineault say in Saturday's paper that he wishes he would have reported to Moncton right away at 16 rather than waiting two years, and talking about how much his game developed. Hopefully the Cats are showing that article to some of our current US prospects ...

I am sure that would be the case. We have some really good amabssadors for the Wildcats organization and the Q as a league. I am looking forward to seeing the changes and who makes it from last seasons team and which rookies and FA's we get step up. It's going to be a fun season. IMO

Like I said about Samuels-Thomas...I heard he has a deal with Moncton...that is IF they draft him. It is conceivable that another team picks him...so Moncton still has to draft him or hope he goes undrafted.
Anyway, i really liked him. If he was a 90 born from an Atlantic Province or from Quebec he would easily be in the 2nd-3rd round range.
