dan roussin 116 points last year . rimouski sends him to quebec they in turn dont dress him why not keep him maybe win some games ,maybe make the playofs .. oh i get it they get rid of him miss the playofs . THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL REBUILDING!!! He's playing east coast. That's why he isn't playing for Quebec OR Rimouski.

Still doesnt answer the question why not keep him and maybe win some games make the playoffs. It's not their decision, if Roussin wants to play pro, then he'll play pro. Just give it up man, Rimouski hasn't done anything illegal. It's their way of rebuiliding and they've had succes with it in the past so they're sticking with it. Yes, Quebec and Rimouski are most likely in cahoots but we can't do anything about it.

was there ever a trade for sersen or desjar or was it is it the same as the roussin deal Both Sersen (8th) and Desjardins (4th) were traded for draft picks. Roussin is not in Quebec. They only acquired his rights. There has to be a clause in there in case he shows up or else Courteau would not have approved the deal. That's the business.Did everyone forget we got Yandle for a fifth round pick?

That still doesn't make it right. Look at Bodnarchuk in Halifax.....ya win some ya lose some, I guess.

Roussin, Pouliot are in the same situation as Bernier, Graham, etc. They are all 20 YO playing pro. Rimouski had no say whatsoever in where they are playing this year. They traded the rights to Roussin to Quebec but he will not likely come back to the Q this year.
At the end of last year, their 3 20 YO graduated (Filiatrault, Scalzo and another one I forget). They also had 9-10 players that would be playing this year (Stewart, Roussin, Pouliot, Coulombe, Tobin, Bolduc, Desjardins, Sersen, Hrdel). As you know (I hope) they can only dress 3 of those players, so they traded some that were not likely to turn pro (Desjardins, Sersen, Stewart) for picks. Pouliot, Roussin and Hrdel turned pro. That left Coulombe, Tobin and Bolduc with a bunch of rookies or 4th line players that barely played last year. It is not surprising that they were in last place. At Christmas, seeing where they ranked they decided to trade some of their veterans for young talented players and high draft picks.
I hope it is clearer to you. This happens a lot the year after you have a team that includes a lot of 19 YO. It happened to the Cats in 2000.

My comment was meant for the Esposito issue only. I don't blame Rimouski at all for what they are doing. If we are in a similar position next year at mid-season, although it would hurt , I think we should do the same.

My explanation was for Tye's benefit although he probably still won't get it.
