Two words for you...... Patrice Bergeron. I agree ... Marchand could bump Bergeron as he isn't much better than Bobby Mazerolle. That should get chsb into the thread. ;D Is Bergy even signed yet for this season?

Those who recall his first camp in Moncton may recall that he was VERY sure of himself that he would make the team, even though it seemed like there was almost no room for any newcomers and competition for the remaining spots would be close. You could almost say that he took the spot of an incumbant player. He outplayed Bobby Mazzerolle in camp and that REALLY opened up room for Marchand on the roster. Not saying he WILL make the Bruins or anything, but knowing a bit about his past, he very well COULD think that he could make the Bruins. Almost everybody outplayed Mazerrolle in that camp - including Billy's grandmother! Yeah but she was over overage so they had to let her go...

They would still have his rights and they could probably get something decent in return. Marchand can be a highlight reel when he wants to.

Wonder what the safe guards the Foror's have in that trade if Brad does not report!!! Where is he going to go? He can't play in the US except for NHL. European teams don't go after 18 year olds usually, Jr.a he would be pissining away a season.

Steve what in the hell are you talking about turning my back on them? I have a hard time believing you're still going on about this subject. We know how you feel... personally, I don't care. After you read the same thing about ten times from the same person, it gets rather redundant. I love watching "fans" turn their backs on players once they have left their own teams. Don't be a "ASS" ;D Yes, Steve... apologize at once!

unbelievable how long this thread has gone.....val dor's best bet if they know he's not reporting is to trade him to a club that he'll go to. hopefully getting something good in return in young prospects. or just make him sit out the year and take their loses

He's too valuable an asset to let sit. I am sure there are lots of teams that would like to have him. Halifax, Bathurst, CB maybe even Lewiston. Whether they have the assets to give up to get him I don't know but I am sure they would be able to get a pretty good return on him.

I am not sure if they have to trade him they may have a clause if he does not report that another player comes their way or even the player comes back to them for trade bait in December if he comes back from Vancouver for December trade time. As good as he is I am not sure he would be a good fit with the Moose!!!

As good as he is I am not sure he would be a good fit with the Moose!!! Bourdon can't go back ... Halifax and CB made sure of that with their greasy trade. You may be right about Marchand not being a good fit in Halifax ... he is a champion now and probably wouldn't fit in well on a team that doesn't know how to win.
