and while we are on the subject, now that Halifax is getting the Stones all they need is a President's Cup, a front-door berth in the Memorial Cup and Sunday shopping and they will almost be a real city just like Moncton

Only Monctonians would define themselves by a championship won by teenagers (where no players were from the city by the way), and shopping on Sunday. Moncton the call center and shopping meca of Atlantic Canada.... congrats. By the way I heard Quebec Remparts (Mem Cup Champions) fans and Patrick Roy defines you as cough...chokers...cough.

It is what you call a team that spanked yours in the playoffs, went further than yours ever has, actually deserving their berth in the Memorial Cup, when that team eventually loses in the championship game...

I think a "Chockers" is group that goes in the front door, as they watch another team go in through the back? Not really sure, could not find it in the big book with all the words.

A chocker is the person who put the "chocks" in front of or behind the wheels of some form of wheeled transportation to keep the wheels from rolling. It's most common at airports. It's not a profession usually associated with hockey.....at least not here in Moncton, but I can't speak for how they do things in Halifax.

In Halifax they usually build a 3 game to 2 lead in the final series before losing the final 2 games in absolute BLOWOUTS. A combined score of 13-4 in those 2 games. Not even close.

RKI bought the cup, plain and simple. having said that you have to give credit where credit is due, nothing changes the Wildcats have their name on the cup and we don't. Just like the Remparts have theirs on the Mem Cup as the best Major Jr team in Canada.

If anything the cats would have normally let up with a free pass, instead they beat Quebec, even with Goulet out and Bourdon visibly far from 100%.

Is this topic seriously still going on? The Cats are the Q champs... yes they did loose the most important game of the season but hey at least they made it there by working for it...Shit happens, we proved we were the best team in the Q, the Remparts "proved" they were the "best" team in Canada by "winning" a berth in the tournament just by beating bathurst not us, and they won a whole ONE game series... wow who cares? i mean the cats showed they were true champs now lets all get over our egos and start concentrating on the season coming up...
