Labrie was kicked out of the game according to the announcement, but he played the rest of the game. Came out in the 2nd served 5 for fighting, then played. #5 Bathurst. What happened was, the Moncton fighter was assesed an instigator penalty and a game for instigating. The instigator penalty nullifies the second fight penalty, so 5 red gets to stay. The game summary may still say he received a game misconduct, but that will be corrected by the league.

And the instigator wasn't even announced... unless I am going deaf as I age!

Communication was not the best in that building tonight and the first period was a little hectic, but instigator was the call, which is why 5 red remained in the game. It's the first time I 've ever seen the call, but it was clarified for the timekeeper/scorekeeper by the referee.

Well not much else to talk about... your A sqaud outplayed our b sqaud... your goalie played all right but we didn't get enough offense going to really put him to the test consistently enough! We had some out breaks... mostly on the PP... but he made the saves when he needed to... thats what counts!!!

I think we failed to mention in this post, that it was 5-1 after the first period, which had about 30 seconds of even strenght hockey. I think Bathurst scored 3 pp goals out those 5.
In the 2nd and 3rd, we outscored Bathurst 2-1. So all in all, we didn't prvide much offense in the entire game, but in the last 2 periods, we sure held our own and minimized their chances of scoring.

(Of course this is all dependant on when the time keepers were corrected.)

As everyone knows by now, I love tough players, but Moore will have to go if he is going to continue with the absolutely stupid minor penalties. I expect Nolan gave him a kick in the ass. Noticed big 46 from Bathurst shied away from Spencer at every opportunity in the third. Perhaps he was a little worried about the payback to be dished out over the cheap assault in the first. He's recovery and subsequent win was the highlight of the night.

He played well but like Mac said he didn't have to face many tough shots. We had no speed on the ice and so it was difficult to generate any offense. Back to the fights ... yesterday on your board you claimed that Morier was a legitimate Top 10 guy ... well he just slipped to 11 because Spencer pummelled him and past him ... and Morier never returned to the game. Morier is a punk fighter who doesn't have the balls to square off with a guy ... but rather jumps them to catch them by surprise ... he did that to Spencer last night and to Francis last year in an early season game. Morier doesn't deserve any ranking as a fighter until he has the couarge to face someone without jumping them. Its sad that he is all you have.

Ugly as expected, the game served it's purpose but was a little painful to watch. I agree with Nolan's T&T assessment that Moorehouse, Spencer and Demers played well. Spencer will be the man this year. I hope they keep Moorehouse...didn't impress in camp but the kid was everywhere last night, not afraid of anyone including those who look a foot taller. 200 lbs of energy in a 100 lb bag ! Chabot was quiet last night, somewhat suprising. Moore should be committed. Clinton gets caught flat footed quite often...can't see him making the cut. Many of these players will shine when they get to perform as 3rd or 4th line players, unlike last night where they were expected to be top line guys.
