I left with 2 minutes remaining in the game and the score was still Titans 6, Wildcats 2. Six more penalties in the 3rd up to the 16:26 mark. Five of the six penalties were Cats. It was an ugly game for the Cats. Miserable, couldn't pass if their lives depended on it (and they probably did). Moore got tossed in the first for two fights on the same stoppage in play (Labrie got tossed for the Titans). Riopel played the entire game for the Cats with Blouin the backup. None of the "big guns" played. Blanchard, Pineault and Hepditch were not dressed. They were watching along with 4-5 other of the "big guns". I do have a question. How come Marquardt was on the ice for the pre-skate but wasn't on the bench after? Something happen to him? ? Comments?

Well, it was a game of future Moncton fillers against half or even more of the Titans regular team that they will have this season.
what hapend tonight was expected ... I thought it would've been a worse beating than that...

And yes agreed no big guns in the line up... We pretty much dressed a "rookie squad" to Bathurst's A sqaud... I think Marqaurdt sat out because we dressed one extra forward and he was the odd man out! there are other players the coaches wanted to play because they are on the bubble... I don't see Marqaurdt being one of them!!! All in all pretty disappointing game but didn't expect much for our first real exhibition game!

Maxime Morier-vs-Tim Spencer... Lined up at center ice, puck drops, Morier's gloves drop and he starts swinging. I don't even think Spencer knew what was going on right away... eventually after Spencer got his gloves back on and got a hand free the fight went down hill for Morier... Didn't even see him on the ice again after that... I say Advantage Spencer... Frederic Sonier-vs-Chris Moorehouse... Started in front of the net... I was trying to watch both fights at the same time, but it looked like to me Moorehouse had the upper hand... I am not sure... someone who might have seen the whole fight can tell me I am wrong! Mathieu Labrie-vs-Taylor Moore... happened the same time as the Sonier-vs-Moorehouse fight... Labrie kinda gave Moore a glove to the face then the gloves were off... I don't even think Labrie got a punch in... Advantage Moore Adam Clow-vs-Steve Obelnicki... Not much of a fight... Linesmen jumped in each threw a punch or two and then fell with the linesmen between them...

Moore and Spencer each a good fight. whatever, nothing that exciting... the one off the faceoff was the best one, can't remember if it was spencer or moore...
dude from Bathurst kinda caught him by surprise and got in there early, but then the moncton guy got on top and whooped his ass..

Labrie was kicked out of the game according to the announcement, but he played the rest of the game. Came out in the 2nd served 5 for fighting, then played. #5 Bathurst.

Labrie was kicked out of the game according to the announcement, but he played the rest of the game. Came out in the 2nd served 5 for fighting, then played. #5 Bathurst. I noticed that too...he should have been kicked out for the rest of the game....Moore got the boot and he sure as hell wasn't fighting alone.... about the other fights: Morier -vs- Spencer: Total bush league move by Morier...I watched him come off the bench...he didnt say a word to Spencer....I don't think spencer even looked at him. Morier jumps him off the draw...lands some punches until Spencer figures out that he's actually in a fight and then pounded Morier to the ice. *** I don't know about the rest of you, but Spencer reminds me a LOT of Douville....they way he plays, to even the way he's built. I have no idea why Morier left the game....but I'll bet the farm Spencer will be looking for him next time they play.. Moorehouse -vs- Sonier.....Moorehouse got the jump on Sonier and landed some solid punches.....shocked me, and shocked Sonier even more I think. Moore -vs- Labrie: Moore just pounded him...Moore's not much of a player but I think it's safe to say that he's a certified NUT. Throws hard and fast. I say keep him and dress him when Moncton needs added toughness in the line-up (Fog Devils)... Obelnicki -vs- Adam Clow: Nothing fight really....never really had a chance to amount to much...couple punches by each guy and down they go. I'm not sure what to think of Obelnicki....could be a good guy to match up with Spencer on the 4th line. Pohl from Bathurst really impressed me...very skilled...he'll put up great numbers for the Titan this year. I thought Ouimet had a good game tonight....I think his main problem is being consistent...if he played every game like he played tonight, there is no reason not to keep the kid around as a 3rd liner.
