Radulov got 5 and a game for checking former Cat Steve Bernier into the boards. Bernier looked like he was on another planet.

After seeing Steve go down, I wouldn't be surprised to see him out with a concussion for a few. I'd like to see Radulov suspended for the same amount of games Steve is out...

San Jose Sharks forward Steve Bernier had to be helped off the ice after being hit into the boards with his head snapping back before he fell face-first Friday night in Game 2 against the Nashville Predators.
Bernier was at the sideboards, working for control of the puck when he was first hit by Nashville defenseman Dan Hamhuis. Then Nashville rookie Alexander Radulov came up and hit Bernier in the back, snapping the forward's head back and forth at 4:44 of the second period.
Bernier fell to the ice, where he lay for a few minutes.
Trainers tended to Bernier and then waved for a gurney to be brought onto the ice. But the Sharks forward was able to skate off with Joe Thornton and Marcel Goc on either side helping him.

His blades may have been touching, but he wasn't moving under his own power.

There saying on tsn,it could be a possible concussion, but looking on the replay, slow motion shows that steve was definatley in pain when radulov hit him at impact before hitting the boards. My guess it might be his back

They just said on TSN that Bernier was currently getting X-Rays on his head/neck. Hopefully he's ok.

First of all did Bernier's head hit anything? In the replay it looked more like the shot in his back did the damage. Perhaps an upper body injury?
I was more disgusted with the overall backstabbing play of the entire Nashville team. From the shot on Cheechoo to the Radu hit on Bernier they seem to be gutless.
Tootoo is an absolute dickhead I hated him in junior and I loathe him as a pro. I just don't like that style of play, he grabs Clowe who was chasing Hartnell all night and started sucker punching him while Clowe was trying to get Hartnell to go. Tootoo got tune tuned by Clowe after that...I can't believe Clowe was not good enough to wear the Cats logo .

That logic makes no sense. Radulov is Nashville's best player right now, if that was the case they can say Steve is out for the whole series so Radulov has to sit.

It's like the Bertuzzi-Moore thing, I think Bertuzzi should of gotten way way way worse. If you intentionally injure another player, you should be suspended the same amount of games as the injured player misses. I don't care if you're Tie Domi or Sydney Crosby or any other player, there's no room in the game for intentional injuries.

Got one game......as expected tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=204118&hubname=he's got no such history of play like this. And second, he never watches the result of his hit. He immediately turns towards the play and away from Bernier. he was not intending to hurt Bernier. It seemed really awkward, the whole thing. Much like Cheechoo's injury, it was more bad luck than anything malicious.
