That logic makes no sense. Radulov is Nashville's best player right now, if that was the case they can say Steve is out for the whole series so Radulov has to sit. It doesn't matter! It's like the Bertuzzi-Moore thing, I think Bertuzzi should of gotten way way way worse. If you intentionally injure another player, you should be suspended the same amount of games as the injured player misses. I don't care if you're Tie Domi or Sydney Crosby or any other player, there's no room in the game for intentional injuries. So what happens if a guy is injured with a legal check? You have to use common sense, body checks are part of the game.

The example I like to use for arguing against suspensions being as long as the injured player is out is this: Early in the 99-00 season, Geoff Courtnall gets elbowed by Bryan Berard and gets knocked out. But because of his history with concussions (he's had plenty before this one), his career is over. Under the proposed rule, Berard's career should be over too? That just doesn't make sense.

so i am betting that the league is still not going to do anything about it just like the knee that Hartnel did too Cheechoo ....... does thing should be suspensions !! The hit by Hartnell was not done with malicious intent, just a last second reaction. Neither was the hit by Radulov on Bernier........the puck was in Bernier's feet on the boards and Radulov had his head down looking at the puck and was trying to check Bernier off the puck.....he didn't even hit him directly from behind, but kind of from the side.......TSN showed it from about 6 different angles today.........the reason for the one game suspension, according to them, is for the injury, not the hit.

Doesn,t make any sense, the nhl brass had to see it as a dirty hit or why suspend him.Its just like billy just said, what do you do suspend every player for a clean hit that causes injury

He deserved a penality, but I agree, the suspension was due to the injury more than the act. There is a general lack of respect for other players though.

I don't think it deserved a suspension ... its not like he took a run at him and creamed him. Its two guys battling along the boards for the puck in close quarters. I'm not sure I'd even call it a major.
