Sadly the Cats played one of their best games of the year last night but just could not finish. I'd have to take my shoes off to count how many great chances they had with Yetman out of position but could not thread the needle. The Lincourt breakaway, Brenton SH in OT, the 3 incredible chances back to back in the 2nd, Gaudet's line with 2 great chances late in the game. Yetman made some good saves but he gave up a ton of juicy rebounds and on a pile of shots the play was going left and he was going right. They made him look a lot better than he is by not being able to hit the top corners. If they had played at that level all series it would already have been won, quite a contrast from last week.
Sniderman played one of his best games of the year, as did the 3 20 year olds who finished the year playing very well...especially MacDonald who returned to the game late in the 1st fater the dirty hit(hope Cote gets 3-4 games for that, very dangerous).
All in all, an outstanding year for a rebuilding team with 12 rookies. The cherry on top would have been to get to the 2nd round.

You just will not give the guy credit will you... he made several point blank saves, and was the star of the 3rd/OT... He is a rookie (Jr A) goaltender so of course he will get himself in trouble at times. The guy gave up 2 goals on 47 shots in a double OT game including a number of great saves. Give the guy a BIT of credit for once. Meanwhile Sniderman seemed to be juggling the puck quite a bit, giving up rebounds in the crease on simple shots. There were a few times I thought the moose were about to get a cheapy because of bad control. He gave up a juicy rebound on the winning goal too! Yet he played GREAT... Moncton goaltending was supposed to be strength in this series, yet Yetman is the one with the 3-2 2OT, 5-1 and 5-0 wins. But you keep saying Yetman has been awful. Anyway, great final game, Moncton did deserve the win in this one, so many great chances, Moose defense looked tired, Suchy's absence put alot more pressure on those guys.

Wow-you were Johnny-on-the-spot last night, weren't you?Funny how you disappeared for a couple of days after last Friday's game, though.I guess you've only got the sac to come on here when things go your way. Congratulations to the Moose for winning the series-although I thought we played well enough to win last night. ;D ;D I never disapeared, go check....I don't post much on Weekends. Tough loss last night, Like I said, the goaltending will win the game....Both were pretty good last night, Sniderman couldn't make the save when it really counted I guess otherwise you'd be in round 2. good luck next year. Make everyday a weekend for you...........

He stopped a ton of chances early too, lots around the net, wide open shots etc...

Instead you shit on his mistakes and try to make it look like that the only way he won was sheer luck. Saying something good followed by the word but is not giving credit. It's like you are trying to make excuses. The game was great and Halifax did just enough to win.

It's hard to give much credit to the goalie when he is usually out of position or dropping early, if you didn't see that you didn't watch the game.

Ok Thanks...that would make it 28.5 % empty seats which is pretty bad considering the amount of population they have down there billy must like the taste of his feet ;D My feet? You have no clue. Bathurst could not sell out a 3,500 building for a Sunday game. The Cats have played weekdays except for game 2...last night they had nearly 6,000, twice what you had Sunday. With a smaller population, the empty seat ratio in Bathurst was less than Moncton. We had weekday games too, not an excuse...your game should have been sold out yesterday but it wasn't even though there were lots of free tickets given out... sad...really sad

Yetman was the best goalie in this series...which is why they are going to round 2 and Moncton is going golfing.

How about this for giving credit: You post some good points but usually you are so full shit and such a homer your posts aren't worth reading.

At the end of the day, Moncton draws more than enough fans to be a financially thriving major junior franchise. Bathurst, on the other hand, barely makes enough ticket revenue to survive.
