Nobody from the Wildcats got on the CB bus. CB's general manager was in meetings for an hour before the bus left. I don't think even if something was done between the 2 teams done tonight, that the players involved would be able to switch teams until its official by the leagues approval.

I feel the same, a player would have to know before hand if he was getting on another teams bus after the game. Most these guys have cars and a lot of personal stuff. They're not going to bring it all to the rink and throw it on the bus. I am curious about the meeting Riandoux was having though.

Who the hell is Riandoux? You know. Rudolph the red-nosed "Raindoux". I though all of the "Raindoux" were at the north pole until next year. ;D

I could see Barberio, Culligan, Brannon and a first round pick for Bourdon, but there is NO WAY! that Marquardt is involved, unless the Eagles give a lot more than that, that return is good for Bourdon and if they want we can give up the rights to Zach Sill, and add say Brad Ouskun or Nick Emmanuele which ever they want between the two and we could throw in a great character guy like Chris Morehouse, but Marquardt is going nowhere. For those who think that is too much for Bourdon, Morehouse and Ouskun/Emmanuele, well then fine you dont get Luc its that simple take it or leave it, I am fine have the best defenseman in the league stay with the Cats for the rest of the year, if Pascal Vincent can't see that Bourdon alone would elevate his team that much higher over Lewiston, than screw him. You're on crack. That is all.

Speaking of Ouskun where was he tonight??? Dont think he's injured, wasnt playing, and wasnt signing autographs... Trade perhaps... Perhaps he was someplace basking in the glory of his -3 effort vs the Fog Devils... Regarding tonight's game, we also shouldn't forget that CB was without Pavelec. He very well could have stolen this game in regulation for them. Maybe the Pavelec of last year. The Pavelec of this year has basically been the same thing as Dave Davenport. I'm a little worried that neither is going to step up and give us the goaltending we need in the playoffs.

When a trade happens between two teams that just played each other, the players IMMEDIATELY go and hop on the other team's bus. No goodbyes to billet families, no collecting of belongings, no one last go at the local puckbunnies, right on the bus! Every year, people see it happen, and who am I to doubt them?

Saw some of the webcast, listened to some on the radio, seemed like a pretty good back-and-forth tilt at the Coliseum tonight. Thank God for Culligan-Sheppard-Brannon line, as our big line (Ouellet-Fergus-McIlveen) seemed to have a rare off night. Kudos to Culli and Brannon for producing on a night where I'm sure trade rumours were on their minds. Moncton is one hell of a scrappy team, possibly the hardest-working in the league, and I honestly thought they were taking the game tonight, especially when Morehouse (I think) scored to make it 5-4. It actually threw me for a loop when we tied it and then won it, it just "felt" like Moncton's game to me tonight. Maybe I was just in cynical mode after the gross result in Halifax the night before. Actually not maybe, definitely. But it really seemed like the TYPE of game that Moncton has been managing to pull out of the fire all year. I was really glad it didn't go to a shootout. Cats seem very strong at those. The OT winner looked like the flukiest piece of crap ever, but Halifax's game winner last night was pretty much the same thing, so we'll take it. Looked like a good one, seemed like a nice crowd too. It's nice to see people actually going to QMJHL hockey games again.

It was also a pretty good atmosphere in the cage tonight, I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that it was a great game, so many great plays made by both teams back and forth. There wasn't a lot of hitting but both teams were working hard. Former players seem to love playing here with Roopi's 2 point night on his return in a Titan Uniform as well as Bartulis' 2 goal night tonight including the winner.

What is this, an episode of Big Brother, "you have one minute to gather your belongings and say your good-byes" with a combination or Survivor: "The Tribe has spoken, you need to bring me your hockey stick" ;D NOTE on attendance, 5000 is a good crowd and with the scanning ticket system Moncton now has, what they listed is what they actually have in the building (unless someone found ways to sneak in, which would mean more than listed were there )

So the 100% "actual" attendance is still a little dubious.

Looked like a good one, seemed like a nice crowd too. It's nice to see people actually going to QMJHL hockey games again. It was a very strange game. Momentum going back and forth. After the first 2 goals by the Eagles, I thought we are not in this game at all and going to get creamed. Then bang-bang it's tied. After that it was back and forth throughout the game. I don't know what happened to the Cats in the OT. They completely stopped skating. At one moment, the Eagles all went for a line change and they didn't even try to go up ice with the puck. Bartulis's shot would have gone over the net if Emanuele hadn't tried to catch it. It was a loss but not a disappointing loss. I felt the guys worked hard against a more talented team. Sheppard is one hell of a player. He made MacD look like a peewee player in the first, somebody in section 4 caught his pants. One of the many games this year where I had my money's worth.

He has made me so made the past several games coughing up the puck that I would take 20 hockey pucks for him. Would you rather have Ouskun, Campbell, Tolles, Emanuele, Pianosi, Herr lugging the puck out of our end ... controlling the puck along the blueline during the PP ? The reason why you see Welton make mistakes that irritate you is because he is a guy that handles the puck alot ... he is going to make mistakes with that much icetime and puck handling .... where guys like Ouskun (who makes more mistakes on a nightly basis) and Tolles (how many times has he iced teh puck trying to gain the redline ?) are not capable of handling the puck in the way Welton does. This team would be nowhere without the contribution of MacDonald and Welton ... and I wouldn't place one above the other ... they both make mistakes but they both also make it happen for us on the ice. Bourdon is also a huge contributor but he hasn't played enough games for us to make a claim on being a big part of what has us in the top 3 of the Q. If we have to rely on Ouskun and the other less expereinced guys to get that puck out of our end and initiate a rush ... we'd be in the bottom 1/3 of the league. Its sad that you don't realize how valuable Welton is to this team.

Vincent Riendeau, sorry I mis-spelt his name, but he is a former NHL'er for St. Louis and now CB's goalie coach as well as Assist. GM.

Pavelec wouldnt of been the differnece in this game. The guy has been looking nothingless then Shakey so far this season. Like deer said, while looking at Davenport and Pavelec its looks as though niether will be able to give a consistant performace at a title. Just this year a player was asked before the game to go home and pack his stuff up, he was leaving that night. (the players name escapes me now and i just searched to find it but cant seem to at the moment). Non the less he was sched. to play in th game that night but the coach told him to go home and pack his things up he was leaving at the end of the game. And as for the whole brannon, barbeiro, culligan, 1st round pick all for bourdon. deer said it correctly....are you on crack If thats not the most rediculas thing i have read in these trades i dunno what is. Pascal would be shooting himself in the "future" foot repeatedly
