I tried to get a concrete answer today on the Whelton Belanger issue I talked about and I got this trown at me, don't be surprised to see Whelton and Belanger go to Val D'or in turn Moncton keeps Marchand and then in turn Val D'or trades Whelton and Belanger away to a third party. Makes sense but wil it happen? ? we'll have to see. Is Marchand worth more than those two. In some people's eyse yes and some no. Depends on the deal Val D'or has to trade them away. Maybe the third party really wants one or both of them and is willing to give Val D'or something that is worth Marchand. I think this would be a blessing in disguise for the Wildcats. I find that team management are always willing to share confidential info with posters who will immediately post that info on messageboards. I can see this Marchand problem getting a lot bigger before it gets better..........if he stays in Moncton and they try to ship somebody else out in his place, that could turn into more problems.......if I were the players that were traded in his place, I'd be putting up some kind of a stink about it..........Moncton isn't in as good a position as some guys here may think....... ;D

I'm sure Boston wouldn't be too happy to have him sit out. This has nothing to do with Moncton, he was traded 6 months ago and he can't return for 3 years.

Actually he got traded 2 months ago. I know he was part of a deal 6 months ago, but his trade only became official two months ago. Technically, the parties included could have changed that part of the deal before it was announced in June because it was not official yet. But now it is.

If Marchand stays in Moncton this year he road games will be hell for him..... ;D ;D....James Sanford would automatically lose his "crybaby" nick name......... ;D ;D ;D I don't think Sanford ever had any trouble playing on the road ... he actually enjoyed getting the fans going ... and Marchand is alot like him in that respect. So if the Titan fans (or any fans) boo Marchand I doubt he'll consider it to be "hell". It'll still be fun to have a new crybaby from Moncton...... ;D

Who thinks Moncton is in a good position ? The only way we benefit is if VD comes back to rework the deal ... with the Q's blessing ... and then we'd still have to give up something of value. I would expect that VD could get more in a deal trading Marchand elsewhere than they could trying to rework the deal with Moncton ... we don't have much left to give.

I hope whenever we play Val d'Or here in Moncton, or whoever Marchand will be playing for, us, as fans, do not show any disrespect towards him. Some of you may consider him a "puck hog", but it was exciting to watch him on the ice during his two seasons in Moncton. I, for one, will show him my respects when I hear his name announced during games. He was a perfect example of "Even The Smallest Guy Can Play This Game".

He was stocky in the Karsums mold.

That positive outlook will not sit well with those in here who live by the principle of the praying mantis - when you're with them, you eat them.

He was a tremendous pest while forechecking which made him exciting to watch as well.

Blais in CB is small..........you can find 4 or 5 guys on every team about the size of Marchand....... Bathurst last year......Duchesneau, Perrault, Beauregard, Clendenning, Bertrand, Pohl,.....guys who played a few...Gougeon, Leblanc, Joly.........5'9" 185 or in that area isn't that hard to find......
