I heard that the Chowder Cup was starting soon. Anyone have the schedule? I would like to catch some games of this tournament.

This is info on the Chowder Cup Tourney in Boston. The Moncton tryouts for the Atlantic team are scheduled for next week at the 4-Plex. I don't yet know the schedule but will post it, if I find it out.

The following was in the T&T this morning about the Chowder Cup which begins on Monday...
Each of the six teams will play each night during the five days of round robin play. Games are set for 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
The playoff round is set for July 31 with the championship final at 1 p.m.
All of the practices and games will take place at the Tim Hortons 4-Ice Centre.

Do you know which rink they are playing at? last year they played in one of the small ones with real crappy seating for the spectators.

I'm guessing it will be in the same rink as last year. Seeing as how the 1,500 seat arena doesn't even have ice in it.

Well not really if you look at it. Why would they leave the ice in Rink A when there would be more spectators for lacrosse games than anything hockey going on at the 4-plex except for the chowder cup tryout tourney. Although it would have been pretty entertaining to see the MJAHL draft take place on ice.

I'm told that rink A is furthest from the compressor and it therefore costs more to operate that rink. So what is downright stupid is the design of the complex!
