Moncton, NB- Moncton Wildcats Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Danny Flynn announced today that the club has reacquired their 2008 fifth round draft pick previously traded to Rouyn-Noranda for their 27th overall pick at the CHL Import draft. In return, the Wildcats trade 19 year old defenseman Brad Ouskun who had signed with the Moncton Wildcats as a free agent in 2005. Ouskun played a total of 58 games with the Cats and recorded 5 goals, 11 assists and 47 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the QMJHL, the native of Winnipeg, Manitoba played for the Southeast Blades in the MJHL. Wildcats training camp will start August 12 at the Tim Hortons 4 Ice Centre. More than 2000 season tickets have been sold so far for the 2007-2008 season.

I don't think anyone is surprised by this, as the rumour was going around that Ouskun was going to RN. I hadn't seen it on the Q site right away though, took a little while. Would have been nice to have him here this year. As he has some experience & we could definitely use him.
