I see these two players have been invited as free agents. I have never seen Cooling play. Would he be good enough to be a backup goaltender in the Q?

Well, he's getting invited to the Cats camp with a good situation could arise. As most people believe, Snidermann wont be with us this season as a 20 year old and Riopel will be a #1. With only Tyler Bolduc as the only other goalie on our depth chart, Cooling could definitely be the back up for the Cats this season, barring any other free agent goalie invites. He put up solid numbers this season for the Flyers (19 games played, 2.80 GAA, .912 save %)
As for Melanson, he made the Sea Dogs...yeah, I know it was the Sea Dogs so he does have Q experience. But, as we all know already, the battle to be a forward on this year's Wildcats team is going to be real competitive. If he works hard in camp and proves he deserves his spot on the team, he will be a good 3rd line player. If hes average in camp, an experienced 13th forward.

Cooling made huge strides last year in MAAA, I think he's probably the favorite for the #2 spot at this point if he has a good camp.
Melanson I can't see him making it with the depth the Cats have up front, plus he played Jr.B last year, maybe as an affiliate player in case of injury.
