Lew was every where last night and oufff there was some big hits , Marchand Hit a guy from Lew last night and the guy who was annoucing the game called it cheap shot because had is head down , but val dor was just not there , there are trying to must to do the plays by them selfs , how many times did you see one player trying to take the put from one end to the other end . i do think if the game tonight is going to be the same as last night i am changing and taking lew to win it . tonight should be very physical because last night there was alot of hitting and fithing at the end of the game .

I'm watching that too. The Lewiston announcer is upset by that, but if Val D'or is intimidating your team than how are they going to do against OHL and WHL teams in the Mem Cup? I'd sooner see VD who is prepared to grind it out in the Mem Cup rather than Lewiston who is annoyed that they are getting checked harder than in the regular season. If they want to step it up and play through it than great.

Hey Mac, the announcer doesn't play the game, we'll be just fine if we get there, don't worry.

The announcers are a joke.......especially the color commentator guy........he spent the whole game crying about the ref tonight......bad enough to be borderline pathetic..........."now that's a penalty.....I can't believe he's not calling that.....why are they giving us a penalty for that when ValDor just got away with the same thing"... ...I had to send them a note from the webcast page to tell them to stop their whining. ;D

The whining was really sad and you can watch it continue over on the Lewiston board Special teams absolutely killed Val-d'Or tonight as they went 1/9 on the PP and Lewiston was 4/5 with the man advantage. They're going to have to fix that if they want to have any chance of winning this series. Old saying in the playoffs is that there's no need to panic until you lose a home game which the Foreurs have not done yet. Hopefully the Foreurs can take all 3 games in Val-d'Or but it's going to be VERY tough.

Yeah, there is a lot of whining over there. Makes you wonder what they would do it LEW had not won the last 24 out of 25, I think, games? Jump off a bridge? In all fairness, the announcers DID mention the HAL game where they thought the reffing was called totally in LEW's favour. LEW played an ok game 2, VDO brought everything they had to game 2 and still lost. If LEW can play like they are capable of, the home ice advantage of VDO will not help them to win, as they laid it all on the ice last night and came up short again.

Bernier was the difference last night........he made 3 or 4 great saves...............also, home ice is huge.....getting the matchups that you want with last change is very important.....IMO, getting Marchand's line away from Cliche's line will open up the ice for them......

I thought the officiating was pretty bad being at the game. If we lost I would be whining. But I'm not.
Why???
We never lose!!

Seriously....Val d'Or played unreal last night and somehow Lewiston is finding a way.
The series is far from over, but holding serve at home REALLY helped.

The officiating was aweful and not aweful game one when bad calls were made both ways. But incredibly incorrect call after incorrect call always favoring Val D'or. If you watched the game it should have been VERY CLEAR. What was funny was when Marchand ended up with a 2:00 minute roughing he had already gone to the locker room figuring he was getting 15:00 in penalty time with 13:55 left in the period; five for fighting and a ten minute misconduct for taking off his elbow pads to throw better punches. They had to go get him out of the locker room

UGH
Lewiston up 3-0 in the series now. Is this the end of exciting, entertaining hockey in the Q? Defense first winning in the Q? This is the worst possible thing that could ever happen to this league. Our team has a 1st year coaching staff and I sure hope they don't start thinking defence first is the way to win in the Q because I don't feel like paying money for season tickets to watch that shit Lewiston plays.

I guess you were looking for something like 10 or 15.

Yeah, that was a wicked boring game...VDO leads most of the game by one goal until the end when LEW ties it, and then in last 3 minutes pots the game winner. And it was really boring to see VDO put everything left in their souls out onto the ice in that last 3 minutes! I was practically falling asleep. And the way VDO cleaned up their game and played 3 full periods of real and skilled hockey, matching and even beating LEW in speed for some plays--just dreadful. I think I am going to just go stuff my face in some poutine tonight instead of seeing LEW sweep the series and win the cup. Maybe there will be a good nature show on TV to watch instead!

BTW, LEW's secret to Defense is to be faster than anyone else out there. We can not help it if our Dmen are 2 steps faster than all the other forwards in the league, even after having to pivot back and race a forward who started with speed!!! If you have a team that can not beat LEW back, stop dumping the flippin puck into our zone and trying, but failing, over and over again to beat LEW back. Develop a pair and learn how to stickhandle or pass it into the zone to one of your own players!

No, I think it is Lewiston in "four-er"! VDO looked like someone had weghted their skates down with lead shot! It will be a miracle if they can win even one! I see my prediction is holding true!
