No not really, I'm happy he got it, but I was never expecting him to get it. If you weren't expecting it ... then you must think others were more deserving ... just like I do. Yes, I agree with that.

Maybe...I'd say we would have been fighting for 1st or 2nd. Our final standing had nothing to do with Perreault. That's my point and you know i'm right. I agree with that ... not the "fighting for 1st or 2nd" part though ... and then that begs the question on what criteria he was selected as MVP if his absence wouldn't have made much difference in where you finished in the standings ? I rephrased too late...I didnt' mean his absence...I meant the fact that we finished in a lower position than expected is not Perraults fault....You can't argue with that....Look at his stats + if you've seen him play you'd understand.

No its not Perrault's fault ... not all by himself anyway ... he shares the blame with the entire team. But an MVP for the league should be for the player that makes his team quite a bit better. Standings is how we sort out the better teams ... and Perrault's absence wouldn't have really made your finish any different than it was.

I'm not arguing about the MVP pick, I agreed with you on that. I'm just defending the fact that you and Billy beleive he should have carried the team to 2nd or 3rd spot even with the weak unconsistant goaltending. What I was saying is that it's not his fault, he does carry some of the "team" responsibility, but if we would have had good and consistant goaltending, we would have finished in the top 3 spots. Other than that, it's hard to say what the team would have done without him.

Your team underachieved in spite of a potent offense ... Perrault and Beauregard couldn't do anymore than they did. Their +/- would suggest they were very responsible defensively. Without Perrault you are still better than SJ's and SJ ... Rim and Shaw ... so you'd likely be 14th instead of 12th.

I'd say fighting with SJ's and Halifax for 7th....... You were fighting with Halifax for 6th and 7th ... SJ's wasn't in the picture. So Perrault would be the difference beyween 6th and 7th in the conference ? Yeah ... thats worthy of an MVP. LOL
