That makes sense...Aubin is only 19 and will probably be a top 20 year old in 06-07. It would be worth giving up a ton for him because you could get a lot back in December/January of next year to help the rebuilding process, plus he doesn't use a 20 year old spot.

Actually, I might get flamed for this, but let's say (Hypothetical) we were to get Aubin and the development of Marchand would end up being excellent 70-80 pts (again very hypothetical and maybe unrealistic). Keeping 20 years old as 3rd/4th line like Hepditch and Girard would be ok.
The only reason 20 yrs old are expected to be impact player (1st or 2nd line or 1st-4th defense) on contending team is because there is usually an abondance of those players. This year being a quite different with 10 more spots, we don't need to only look at 20 yrs old to fill spots. (Rimouski had a 20 yrs old backup goalie last year) If we find our needs at 19, it not only helps our 1st line, but enforces our 3rd and 4th by moving Girard there instead of simply upgrading the 1st and keeping the other lines the same. It doesn't help the development of players, but that is not the priority this year.

If the Cats slipped some $$$ under the table along with player(s)/draft picks..... it wouldn't be too ridiculous. What a player to have on the team though!
