Not as much as you with your last comment. Isnt it only two years ago the Cats lost all of their preseason game.... and they went on to the final of the president cup

We lose again, two more losses and we'll have a winless pre-season just like in 2003-04 when we went to the final Of course we tied a couple games that pre-season so maybe if we lose all of them this pre-season it means we'll win in the final this time!! I know this guy is just trying to cause trouble but I find it absolutely hilarious how some ppl are making such a huge deal out of exhibition games, oh well it will just be all that much more sweeter when we start to kick some ass when it really matters.

I agree the preseason means shit, but the roster this team has is pathetic for a Memorial Cup bound team. The Cats need 3 top end forwards before anyone can even consider them as a MC team. Hepditch and Girard as 20's on any team, let alone a MC host, is revolting. Hepditch shouldn't even have been on this team as a 19 year.

I agree that the actual preseason record means very little but these preseason games are still the time for some players to really step it up and have great games to show what they can do this year.
As a Rocket fan I am looking forward to seeing Moncton on Sept 23.
And personally I am a little surprised that I haven't seen more discussions about who has looked impressive/disappointing so far this preseason.
So who has looked impressive/disappointing?

Noticed we went 1 for 14 on the PP. This is a downfall of having a lot of talent on our roster, we lose guys at important times of training camp. Instead of having a set roster close to the end of the camp we still need to keep players who are not going to make the team just to fill the lineup. I'm not worried about preseason, we could go 0-20, and it wouldn't matter just as long as we start competing after the first weekend of the season.

Don't confuse impatience with panic. I'm sure everyone wants to see what the real team will look like but that's not the purpose of of preseason/camp especially when you have a new coach with quite a few new players...as Nolan has stated...the purpose of camp is to evaluate and the players who need the most evaluation are not usually the top players. Relax and don't worry so much .

Remember also that there were about 10 players missing from last night's lineup due to NHL camps, injuries, sickness - so a 3-2 loss isn't all THAT devastating!
We have never played a game this year with anything close to a full roster. And consider also that goalie Blanchard has yet to make an appearance in a true preseason game. And there will be a couple of trades made to be sure to solidify the lineup prior to the MC.
Not time to worry (yet)!

My question is why Blanchard hasn't started a game yet. He should be getting some game time to get ready for the intensity of the season.

Im guessing that Nolan wants to get the back-up(s) to Blanchard as much icetime as possible before the season starts. Blanchard will likely start the final pre-season game.

If you checked some of my previous posts I've been asking the same question. I never did get a logical answer and got slammed most of the time. Blanchard was a backup and a rookie last season. They have to get him some ice time prior to the start of the season. Intrasquad games are not enough! I can't figure it out!

I believe that Blanchard received a injury very early camp and is not being pushed to hard by Nolan at this point.Nothing to really worry about i guess ,but not taking any chances. Always better to be safe then sorry if indeed he is are no 1 starter.
