“TITAN DOWN WILDCATS 6 - 2” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 25th, 2005 Moncton, NB - The Acadie-Bathurst Titan took a commanding 5 – 1 lead after the first period and went on to defeat the Moncton Wildcats 6 – 2 before 1,732 at the Tim Horton 4-Ice Center on Thursday. The game was Moncton’s first pre-season contest, while Acadie-Bathurst improved their record to 3 – 1. Veterans Petr Pohl and Thomas Beauregard led the Titans with one goal and four assists each, while other goal scorers were Ryan Seymour, Frederick Sonier, Jordan Clendenning and Craig Landry. Replying for the Wildcats were Yan Ouimet and Jerome Samson. Acadie-Bathurst outshot Moncton 32 – 19, with Maxime Gougeon recording the victory as he made 17 saves. Moncton’s Nicola Riopel allowed six goals on 32 shots. Acadie-Bathurst went 3 for 11 on the powerplay, while Moncton was 1 for 8. Acadie-Bathurst held a 17 – 9 advantage in the first and 8 – 2 in the third. Moncton held a slim 8 – 7 in the middle period. Moncton’s next pre-season game at home is on Friday, September 2nd, when they will host the expansion Saint John Seadogs.

Slight correction. The Titan record is 4-1 Oscar and Hodge seem to have misplaced a game.
I am only commenting on this because after 5 games the Titan players should be playing fairly well. I would think the rookies should be able to execute the systems by now.
