The Cats made a deal with Truro Bearcat's Dman Andrew MacDonald to report to camp. I've heard they want him as the #2 PP QB.
If he's there you can be sure it cost them because he had a scholarship to an NCAA school for the 06-07 season I believe.

Was he ever drafted in the Q? No He was at Mooseheads camp as a 17yr old and pulled out at 48hours. He's made steady improvement in JrA and was an allStar at 18 last season. He's a very smooth skater with slick moves and great vision and he love to lug the puck but has learned when the dish it off. He also has a good accurate low shot from the point. He's in the 6'1" 185lbs range

Thanks for the info Sudz! If the Cats pick him up, hopefully he can make the adaptation to the Q smoothly and have the desired impact.

I just went to the University of Maine website and they had their 2005-06 hockey roster posted. Keith Yandle was not listed on the roster...not really sure what that means at this point in time. I'm guess he still hasn't been cleared by the NCAA.

I just recently got some info that it's still a toss up where Keith Yandle will be playing this season...Moncton or Maine. We should be hearing something shortly.

I heard a rumor that the WC were negotiating with Yandle's camp. It's a good sign that their camp is open to coming here.

"Bourque: Capital investment When Ray Bourque turned pro with the Bruins prior to training camp in 1979, he bought his father a Cutlass Supreme in appropriate colors: black and gold. The future Hall of Famer, the No. 8 pick in that year's draft, signed a three-year deal worth $100,000 per year. Christopher Bourque, son of the Bruins' legend, last week signed a three-year deal with the Washington Capitals, and at minimum he should collect upward of three times what his old man made upon entering the league. According to a source familiar with the younger Bourque's deal, the Capitals paid the ex-BU winger slightly more than $500,000 as a signing bonus. Even if he were unable to advance beyond the AHL level, the 19-year-old Bourque would pick up nearly another $250,000 in minor league salary, bringing him a total of some $750,000 over three years even if he never plays an NHL game." www.boston.com/sports/hockey/bruins/articles/2005/08/21/bruins_green_along_blue_line/?page=2Does someone still seriously think of seeing Chris Bourque back in Junior

What is the minimum age for AHL is it 19 or 20 or 21? I think it is 20 but I could be wrong. I don't mean to sound rude, and I'm not trying to single you out, but holy fuck, is this question not asked and answered every fucking week? If you were last playing in the CHL before you were taken in the NHL draft, you cannot play in the AHL until your 20 year old season. It does not matter if if you are European, Canadian, or American. If you were last playing in any other league, in any other country (Prep School, NCAA, European league) before you were taken in the NHL draft, you are eligible to play in the AHL beginning in your 18 year old season. It does not matter if you switch leagues at any point after you were NHL drafted either. Bourque is AHL eligible at 19 because he was NHL drafted while playing prep school. Zakharov was AHL eligible last year at 19 because he was NHL drafted while playing in Europe. Karsums is not AHL eligible this year at 19 because he was NHL drafted wile playing in Moncton. Again, sorry, but this has got to be my biggest pet peeve.

OK folks it's time to realize that Chris Bourque will not be coming to Moncton. I e-mailed a writer for the Capitals on the situation and this is the response I got: Let's just accept that he's not coming and move on.
