Phillipe Dupuis is Columbus Blue Jacket property and who is the GM of the Jackets? I think there's a better chance of Dupuis coming than we think.

According to RDS, we get him in exchange for Simon Prosper. There must be future considerations depending on the number of games he plays here.

Canadaeast doesn't work, so I don't have access to the T&T here, but according to Radoter/Webdiffuseur, Moncton would also receive a 7th round pick if Prosper makes their team.
"Si Dupuis s’aligne à Moncton les Huskues obtiendront un choix de deuxième ronde en 2007, et si Prosper s’aligne à Rouyn-Noranda, les Huskies céderont un choix de septième ronde en 2007."

Good addition and not too expensive either.

Very good trade for the Cats if Columbus sends him here. A second round pick for one of the top centers in the league is a very good deal for us in my opinion.

It's a good deal depending how you look at it. In the T&T they made it seem like it was two seperate deals so you can either compare the two or compare the Dupuis trade to the Welton trade which makes the Dupuis trade seem like the biggest steal of the century. But for the memorial cup run I think this is a good deal.

So essentially we give up Prosper for a 7th and the rights to Dupuis. If Dupuis shows up then we also send our 2nd (2006 or 2007 ?).
Good deal ... Prosper wasn't making our team this year at 18 ... and we don't need any 19 yr old rookies next year ... if we do we can get them as FA's. Good deal for Prosper too as he'll probably get a chance to get to the Q.
Anytime you can get trade value out of a guy that doesn't figure into your team's plans ... you done good.
