No clear cut choice for Captain this season IMO....
Hepditch seems to be popular with players and coaches, hard worker who makes the most of his abilities - the downside is that he is not an impact player, and may or may not start and/or last the season with the Cats. When Nolan talked about winning the Cup in the Soo with an undrafted free agent as his captain, I immediately thought of Hepditch.
Graham is the most impact of our likely overagers, but has never really played like a heart and soul type. I think he is a longshot.
Saunders would be a no-brainer if he returns at some point, which seems unlikely, especially to start the season.
Karsums plays like a leader on the ice, but is injury prone... if you want a captain who combines leadership and skill, he may be our best bet.
Adam captained his midget team to the Air Canada Cup, he seems to know how to lead and how to win. He will drop the mits if needed, and seemed to earn a lot of respect last season as a rookie. Given his limited Q experience, he is a longshot, but he is my darkhorse pick...
Gaudet would seem to be a safe choice, he is a hard worker, fixture on the 3rd line. On top of which, he is bilingual and local. To me, he fits the description of the lunch pail and hard hat image to a tee. He gets my vote.

I went with Adam too. The Cats protected him in the expansion draft, it's been written before about his leadership, plus he has the experience as team captain in the MAAA ranks. If Nolan wants to built a winner, at this point he may have to do it on grit rather than skill alone, so I think Adam would be a good choice.
We'll see!
Edit: Assumption is that both Bernier and Saunders aren't back.

Bernier/Saunders out of the picture either Adam or Gaudet would be captain ...........if not it will be one free agent from out of town!
