I heard that the league will follow some of the same rules that the nhl addopted for this season...
OT, then shootouts and point system, goalies restriction area to play the puck, tag up rules, red line removed, icing the puck line changing rule and the shooting the puck in the stands penalty...
interesting...

How come they ain't painting the lines for the goalies in our rinks like they did in the AHL last year......You would think if they were adopting these rules they would have done that.

It could be the late timing of the rule changes announced, I'm guessing the ice has been put into most of the rinks and painted before the announcement.
The changes to the offside and no red line are going to be great for the Q.

I like the offside, but IMO, the no redline is not going to make hockey faster......watching the Euro teams this year with the lack of good hockey to watch from here, I noticed that the dmen hung back a lot and didn't get involved as much in the "offense" or rush, as they do in North America, therefore cutting down the speed and goals scored and not doing what most here think it will do. They are more worried about somebody making a stretch pass and getting a break, then they are about scoring one for their own team.
