“POWER TO DEVOTE FULL TIME TO BUSINESS”
MONCTON, NB – Allan Power has decided to relinquish his role with the Moncton Wildcats to devote full time to his personal business, Power Play Sports. Mr. Power was entering his fourth season with the organization. “I know that it’s a very exciting season for the Wildcats as they host the Memorial Cup and I realize that it requires a full time commitment”, commented Power. “I’ve enjoyed my three years with the team and the opportunity that Mr. Irving gave me, but at this time it is impossible for me to devote full time to the job at hand. You can’t be half pregnant, you are or your not.. I have been working on two great projects the last three years, one long term and one short term. A decision had to made and I chose the long-term goal, my personal business, which has been my personal endeavor for the last 25 years. The time and energy it takes with both would have resulted with both projects having been cheated. The next ten months for the Moncton Wildcats as they make their way towards the Memorial Cup, would have taken a 110% effort. Providing my time and energy to both projects would not have been adequate for success for either. The last 25 years has been invested in my personal project and this is what I have to get back to. Working with Mr. Irving has been a priceless education, along with Peter Nevin, Graham Black, Christian Laroux and many others, both within the organization and around the League, which will enhance any personal projects I undertake in the future,“ concluded Power.
“I would like to commend Allan for his past dedication to our organization”, remarked Team President Robert K. Irving. “His expertise has allowed us to achieve post-season success during the last two seasons and placed us in an enviable position heading into our tenth anniversary season and the Memorial Cup.
