Something I noticed in the article on him that was in the T&T earlier this week was the fact that he's gained something like twenty pounds over the summer. Knowing this, I'm eager to see how he his balance and puck control has improved since last season. Will he be able to get into a decent shooting lane AND get off a good shot? Should be interesting to find out. Really looking forward to seeing this kid in camp again.

Knowing this, I'm eager to see how he his balance and puck control has improved since last season. Will he be able to get into a decent shooting lane AND get off a good shot? Should be interesting to find out. Really looking forward to seeing this kid in camp again. 20 lbs seems like a lot for a player to gain in one year(off season), hopefully he did not bulk up too much and lose hisagility and explosiveness...first and foremost he is a speed and skill type player.

Thing is that he's still 175 or so according to that articule.... that shouldn't be enough weight to affect dexterity, even at 5'9"..... if anything, it should just add some strength to the agility. Even if it doesn't, he's a strong player mentally as well.... he'd probably be able to compensate.
