I will pull a CHSB, gobble up everything managements says without questioning and make the most optimistic prediction for our opening day lineup. This would make for a very good team which could be dominating with a bit of tweaking. Bernier - Bourque - Karsums Graham - Pineault - Marchand Goulet - Gaudet - Samson Chabot - Donovan - FA (Moore, Clinton, etc.) Saunders - Bartulis Yandle - Belanger Welton - (Adam - Blanchette - Demers - Tanguay in rotation) Blanchard and Côté Vallières Tanguay and Blanchette could be traded to BC for Lacasse to provide a backup that will push Blanchard and be ready to step in if need be. IFFFFF all this falls into place, it gives us two very potent top lines, a third line that will not be scored upon while putting some in the nets and a workable 4th line. Our D would be the best in the league. Blanchard and whoever is the back up would give us a very decent protection on our end. With this lineup we should get 95-105 points considering the weakness of our division. Nolan will probably be looking for a couple of trades to improve aspects he considers needing improvement and make us a powerhouse. Could I be more positive?

I heard that Nolan's looking to trade away a couple of posters from this board. So far no takers.......I guess practice pucks aren't as easy to come by as they used to be.

hey catnut do you really think donovan should be in the line up?? that tell us how you know about hockey?? IN that case.... why SHOULDN'T he be in the lineup? And who should be placed there in his favour and why? Donovan's a hard working kid...... had some problems with the injured finger last year..... but wasn't afraid to play physical in the aftermath of it. He's a hard working kid.... I like him...... hopefully Nolan will as well. Also, I have heard from people he has interacted with that he seems to be a very level headed kid.... good natured. Hell, wasn't that one of the bigger reasons why Hepditch was around last year (and was an "A" to boot)?

Also, when he was playing more regularly before his injury, he had a very good faceoff win %. He would be one of the first players to be dropped from the regular lineup if the Cats acquired another top forward but for the time being, he has to be penciled in on the 4th line.
At this time, who would you put in instead wow?

catnut what kind of calibre have you played hockey in?? what difference does that make...why don't you answer the question he asked you first,if Donovan isn't on your team who do you play instead on the 4th line...I think you'll find that more people on here will back Stanson than dump on him-he was a scorer in Midget AAA that accepted a working, checking defensive role without crying to be on the top line and was a strong performer on faceoffs when everyone else was sucking on the draws...I'd have him on my 4th line right now too until someone outplays him in training camp and takes his spot...

not saying that Donovan was top scorer in mAAA or change to be checking line last year but the guy is small when it come playoff time and get rough he is not worth much, he can be fan favorite or not face the fact the guy is to small i think right know the cats should try to build there team big as much as they can..
depends how the f/a are there way bigger than him but there no good find some more f/a or make some trades

size does not mean they will be a good player and add quality to a team in the reg season or the playoffs... I think just about anyone on here can give a story of the smaller player with good attitude and some skill and heart. That would be of alot more value that someone becuase they are bigger. Why not do as everyone states and let them earn it in camp and leave it at that

catnut what kind of calibre have you played hockey in?? What does that have to do with anything? I made that lineup with the elements we have right now at our disposal. Who would you place in the lineup instead of Donovan?

One guy I think will be in the starting 20 is Eagles, he was a 3rd round talent but slipped to the 8th after teams thought he would play the NCAA card.

Good news for you guys. Hes pretty skilled but not sure youd want him on the 4th line during such a huge year.

Good news for you guys. Hes pretty skilled but not sure youd want him on the 4th line during such a huge year. They could probably trade Eagles to Bathurst for one of Prokopetz of Manavian if they really happen to be tough guys plus a pick... Thinking about it though, it seems that Sylvain Couturier checked on him and he was heading NCAA Hum!! Would Nolan have brandished the bait of a Mem Cup team to lure him to Moncton??
