Anyone has any details how our little friend is doing ?
Hopefully he is getting better! Karsums is ready to be close to 100 pts player if he can avoid injuries.

i don't know about that, since i think most (if not all) would agree that bernier has been more of an offensive threat the past couple of years and he hasn't really come close to 100 pts playing full seasons.
but that argument aside, i'd also like to hear how he's doing. hopefully he'll be ready to steamroll the competition come fall.
EDIT: i just had a vision, a Benier/Bourret/Karsums line. man that would have been sweet. would have been one of the toughest lines to play against in all of major junior hockey.
*drools*... get me a towel

Around the net I'd say Karsums is more dangerous ... he seems to score on more of his chances. Bernier does a whole lot more ... he gets the puck to the front of the net for guys like Karsums ... but I find he misses alot of scoring chances ... but gets himself in good scoring positions quite often. If it was the dying seconds of a game and we are down by a goal and need to tie it up ... I want Karsums parked in the slot and have his linemates work to get him the puck. Of course odds are it would be Bernier that gets him the puck.

I will have an update on Martins Karsums a little later on in the week, as I will be in Riga, Latvia.
I am currently in Trencin, Slovakia. I have eard some interesting rumours while over here that the Wildcats may have something on the table for the Import Draft on Wednesday, word has it that they may be selection a player, meaning either Bartulis or Karsums could be released or traded.
It is nothing concrete but rather just a rumour that I heard that the Wildcats have talked to a player over here. We'll see.

What I think we may see is a team take the player in question and keep them on their list as a reserve for Moncton if Karsums' injury ever does act up again. The kid in question is a pretty decent forward, good size and scoring ability, but there are a few teams interested in him, so i think he would rather come over and play instead of get picked as a plan B for Moncton.
We will see what happens.

Where the plan doesn't work is that the Cats have to trade or realease Karsums or Bartulis in order to use the pick...unless they can get another team to draft the player like RN took Parshin for Quebec.

Billy, that is exactly what I said, is that another team would pick the player and if something happens to Karsums, they would let Martins go and pick up the other player.
Similar to what was supposed to be the plan with Parshin...
and Baie-Comeau/Gatineau a few years back with Ruslan Khasanshin. And also last year with Riku Korpinen picked by Drummondville for PEI.

I've heard that he hasn't healed and that he's going in for an operation this summer out possibly 3 months.

hey everybody im new i think when the teams put together its going to be a great team.Or defence has the the chace to be the best in the leauge, or top two lines could put up big numbers and saunders wont have to fight as much, he can just play d. or goaltending is alright but we need a back up for sure and dont forget we probly rate now have the toughest team in the Q. and one more thing to let alex bourett go was not smart hes nolans type a player mark my words he will be sorry
