Here is my assessment of the team we "could" have so far:
Part of this is based on Nolan's comments (printed in Acadie Nouvelle yesterday) that there is a very good chance we will have Bernier, Graham and Saunders back, and Bourque has a good chance to show up.
Top two lines (exact combinations not really important at this stage):
Bernier, Graham, Bourque, Pineault, Karsums and Goulet
3rd line: Gaudet, Samson and Free agent
4ht line: Marchand, Chabot, and Free agent
Defence: Saunders, Bartulis, Belanger, Welton, Adam, Demers, Blanchette
Goal: Blanchard and Cote
If the top two lines stay healthy, we all know that they would be able to produce. If one of them gets injured, Marchand can step in. If two gets injured then...? Our Defense seems to be solid... would get even better if Yandle decides to show up.
I assume that with the FAs they are inviting , one will end up a the 3rd checker on the 3rd line and one (I wonder who?) will be an enforcer on the fourth line.
In goal, I think Blanchard could be what we need... but we should can an insurance policy (other goaltender) just in case.
Overall, if (IF) all these players show up, I don't think we need to make drastic changes. We will have a very strong team. That being said, as soon as one (or more)of these players does not show up, it will create a void that they will need to fill via a trade.

Awesome team! I won't believe that Bernier will be there until I see him however. I really believe they should trade some of the defense and possibly 4th liners away for future 1'st round draft choices. We are benefiting from players coming to be in the spot light this year that won't be here next year. It would be hard to adjust to a last place team next year if we put all our eggs in one basket. I admit we would be polluted by non-Quebec-Maritime players this year but that's the way its shaping up anyway.
As far as those being embarrassed by a substandard team, that seems to be nullified by the first three lines. The forth line is a line that won't see much ice time in the Memorial Cup and wouldn't carry the team next year. I guess I have to admit I've not been a Marchand fan but with years and hopfully Height and Weight he could prove me wrong.

Bruce Graham I heard has surgery right after the season ended on his shoulder. I heard he was sent to New York and got the surgery done!

Under Nolan...Graham is not going to have a choice but to give 110% every shift. If he doesn't he won't be here long. When he gives his all he's great, but we did not see that at all from him last year.....maybe in spurts but that was it.
