I know its a longshot but i would rather see Bernier in a cats jersey then Bourque this year Bourque would probably be happier to be here and would not take a 20 slot.

Last year it was a strength this year we have a top pick.. no reason to believe we won't land a sniper I don't think offense will be as big a problem as you and the naysayers think.. may drop off 10-15 goals but that will be offset by improved defense and more games against weak opposition what does any of this have to do with Chris Bourque playing in Portland? You still have not shown how you will replace 83 goals lost...Stewart had 23 last year, I doubt the improvement in your young players adds up to anything close to 63. As far as Euros, apart from Trukhno, you guys have not drafted much in the last 5 years...Hruska Korpinen Makela Polcik Macek Havikari Persson...none of them have been top players...so Trukhno makes it about 1 in 8...not very good odds. How many times has the Rocket had that high a Euro pick? I honestly don't know. I know this year it is crucial they find an impact player.. they got one in Truhkno last year which was a bonus... this year they are in a position to land another and there is no excuse not to.. let's say that Euro scores 20 (conservative estimate).. Stewart I expect to score 30.. Bolduc at least 10.. there's 60 goals right there to replace the 83.. I am positive guys like Hawes, Charron, Dubuc and Boivin will contribute more than they did last year.. O'Brien as well... so all those missing goals are easily replaced couple that with a better defense and a cut down of a minimum of 35 goals from last year (1/2 goal per game) and the fact we play more games against weaker opposition with theunbalanced schedule and it's not that farfetched to assume we can compete for 3rd spot if we overachieve.. and 4th or 5th if we play to our capability on paper Why is it we have to replace 83 goals according to you (you don't even factor the goals coming back) and Lewiston doesn't have to replace the 80 plus goals they lost in Picard, Bourret, Paiement (likely not in Lewy if he returns), Murphy and Gates.... you guys don't have to replace the 60 some goals you lost in Bernier, Glode, Bergeron, Salvis (even worse if Karsums or Graham do go pro), Cape Breton don't have to replace the 60 some goals they lost in Dixon, Lambert, Pardy, Smith and Demers and Halifax don't have to replace the 130 plus goals they lost in Vrana, Bernier, Sharrow, Picard, Guennette, Steber, Sheppard, Corredato etc? See all the teams except Bathurst are worse off right now offensively.. many teams have a sniper with injury concerns (Laliberte, Karsums, Aubin) yet you think we are the ones who are losing the most when I think we've actually improved

IMO Chris is not ready for AHL and maybe not even for the Q either!!! But he was ready to play a leading role for Team USA at the WJC ... an obvious step below the Q ...

I think they will improve a bit but only if Trukhno and laliberte are healthy and they play together, 5 on 5 and on PP. The rest of their offense is brutal though. But yours is a very good point.

He will probably score less. He has fewer talented players around him to help out. "There is no excuse not to get an impact Euro" ?? Let me just say that the odds say you will probably not get an impact Euro. My statement makes as much or more sense than yours. You lost your #2 and #4 dman and replaced them by Leduc and the "glass man" LeBlanc. What makes you think this guy will actually last more than 1/2 a season in PEI? That's a big questionmark whether you want to admit or not. If everything goes right like you pray for, then yeah, you'll be in 3rd place. But if everything goes like it does for most teams, then you guys are near the bottom. Every team could say that "if everything goes right" we'll be way up there. Doesn't make it a reasonable assumption. If everything goes the way I'd like, the Titan will finish 1st overall, but I'm not counting on it.

Mikeb ... does your "everything goes right" include Moncton having endless injuries and raped in trades for under-achieving players ? ...

Stewart won't have the same talent to play with, but he will get all the 1st line ice time in PEI, something he didn't get in RImouski. Is that enough to make up the difference?

Mikeb ... does your "everything goes right" include Moncton having endless injuries and raped in trades for under-achieving players ? ... Last year you guys got a taste of what we had for 2 years. And in my "everything goes right for the Titan", Bourque goes pro, Blanchard has a Boutin like shutdown after starting strong, Graham plays soft yet another year, Pinneault plays with superglue on the blade of his stick, Welton continues to play like he did for you guys last year, Saunders goes pro.... well you get the idea what happens for you guys. Meanwhile Roy scores 40 goals, Pohl scores 35-40, Beauregard scores 30-35, we draft an 18 Euro to play center and score 20 goals, Clendenning gets 50 points, Carle gets 18 goals and 50 points, Bezeau gets 40 points .... but only "if everything goes right".
