The big question will be what can he add from the remaining roster to the start of 07-08...FA's, trades, draft picks and Euros...plus maybe adding a currently drafted NCAA player(Hayes or Cross).
Coching wise I don't have any big concerns that the high standard of the last 2 years will continue.

I know they said that they were going to take care of it but they went on what other people had said. This year the Wildcats scouts and assistants were over there doing the work. I am confident that we will have decent euros this season.

Danny Flynn is by far the best choice of the 3 listed candidates. Claude Julian would have been here for one year and than gone ala, Nolan and Torchetti. When Nolan was here, he got most of the praise but, Danny Flynn was the guy running practices and designing systems for the team to follow.

In like Flynn? Cats have landed or re-landed another detail oriented systems coach and a person of integrety to boot. This hiring says a lot of good things about the organization, being able to attract high level coaches three years in a row. To hear Nolan and Torch say they hated to leave and would come back if the opportunity came around ( and meant it) and to have Flynn actually come back tells me these guys were treated with class from a first class organization and owner. In a world where owners of sports teams burn every bridge in sight, it's great to see an owner keep the respect of top quality coaches and people ( of course that would exclude those who are fired rather than left like Larue . This may sound corny but thanks RKI for continuing to invest in your/our team to deliver a team worth watching. Disappointment (the Torch went out) and excitement (Flynn is in) all in a few days. Would it be too much to ask the Cats to trumph this announcement with NCAA or FA news? Awesome news ;D

I hope that some of the assistants from last year are staying as well. We were very well coached last year and that usuallly means that all the coaches are getting their jobs done. Flynn will need some good assistants and those guys seemed to me to bepretty good.

Normally its the assitants that take charge of the special teams ... and we had a poor PP and PK all year ... probably the biggest rearson we did not advance in Round 1. I'm not so sure that our assistants were that good.

I wouldn't be shocked if they stay, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Flynn brings in at least one of his own guys - maybe a former player from his St. FX days?

I'm not so sure that our assistants were that good. You can have all the coaching you want, the PP is heavily dependant on skill. The PK also to a certain extent. I know Flynn is a good tactician but to expect him to have last year's PP among the best in the Q is pretty unrealistic.

Maybe not at the top of the league, but IMO we had enough skill last year to have a PP and PK that would have been middle of the pack ... we were at the bottom in both - which to me was unacceptable.
