The Marquardt hit on Bolland was the 2nd best hit I've seen at the Coliseum. Marquardt just exploded into Bolland, I've never seen a guy flip head over ass from a hit.

Bolland probably thought he just ran into a Mack truck. Apart from that though Marquardt didn't have much of a game. The 1st the Cats dominated but after that they had numerous letdowns and stretches of sloppy play. The giveaway on the goal with 7 sec left in the 2nd period was horrible. St.Johns shouldn't be giving the Cats that much trouble, all they do is throw it to the point and crowd the font of the net.

The goal by Mooreshouse was sweet but the pass that Barberio made was just as nice.

Was Abid the recipient of the 1st? The best hit i ever seen at the coliseum was when Bruce Graham absolutely demolished Neil Smith of CB a couple of years ago. It took Smith about 10 mins to get up. Graham always played soft, so thats why it has always stuck in my mind. Even after the hit you could tell Graham was concerned for the health of Smith. Almost seems as though graham so much bigger than most was always concerned to throw his weight around for fear that he would hurt others

As for the other results from last night, the Wildcats got help from various teams.
PEI defeated Cape Breton, Shawingan beat Lewiston, and the Sea Dogs won over Bathurst

He then dropped the gloves only to beat the crap of teir team captain. I don't remember who they were, but I think sec21critic does.

The hit was on Jonathan Charette, Hudgin then fought with Mathieu Roy(no not that one...) who's now with the Oilers.

Didn't Ettinger hit Moosehead Jonathon Boone causing him to go airborne into the bench ?

Yes he did and that by far was the best hit ever in the Coliseum. Ettinger came out of the box and skated right across the ice and the guy he hit totally cleared the boards and hit the back wall of the Mooseheads bench. No mistaking, the BEST HIT EVER.

The Karsums hit on Brule at the mem cup was pretty sweet....I remember the Bruce Graham hit well,Smith was coming around the back of his net looking in back of him to see the pass he made and Graham was coming straight in....man did he ever drill him...I don't remember Smith staying down tho,I thought he got up,but fell several times trying to get to the bench.....I know his helmet went flying.
Artuykhin laid a heavy hit against Tidball in the playoffs too,but because it was a dirty hit I wouldn't put in the top ones.Tidball missed a few games(concussion I think).

The Ettinger hit on Boone was my 2nd favorite of all time...Boone was sort of sideways trying to sidestep him and Ettinger drove him not only into the bench but behind the players against the back of the bench.
My 3rd favorite was a massive hit by Tezikov on Dipaolo of Halifax on the balcony corner, agrena side...I swear the Coliseum moved a foot.
My all time favorite was Kaltygen nailing Eric Labelle then of Victoriaville in the offensive zone near the visitors bench. Labelle had his head down and Kaltygen just pulverised him, the hit was so hard Labelle lost his stick, gloves and helmet on impact...I never saw that before.
The 2 greatest plays in Wildcats history were not hits though...
2nd was Blanchards sick save last year on a rebound from a breakaway...one of the best ever.
1st was Hudgin's goal 2 men short his 20 year old season, he beat 2 defenders, dropped the goalie and scored.

Tell you what the Foggies are not boring to play against. It was actually a very entertaining game. I think when we were up 3-1 we started that rope a dope crap and we almost paid for it and you guys responded well. You guys are just going to get better. You can't get any bigger.
