Although the calls werent in our favour. Im not as 'hot headed' as trouty was about this loss by saying "i just as soon we lost 10-1", losing 10-1 tonight would just crush the confidence we're riding right now after having some succes on the road, so i deffinitly disagree with troutys statement there. This is what i posted on our own board:
I missed the game tonight unfortunatly. But by the sounds of it the PK we have is pretty damn good and should be around 80%. Marion once again must have had another solid performance on the PK, but im just going by the stats becuase like i said i never saw the game.
Im deffinitly not completly crushed about this. With the amount of penalties we had and calls deffinitly not going in our favour, to lose by only 1 goal to a team whos currently 'hot' is not a bad accomplishment at all. Loss is a loss i know, but this one isnt all too bad. We didnt give up and get frustrated and let the Cats run the board, and Marion obvisouly stayed focus and confident with the amount of PP the cats were getting.

.My alltime favorate penality was Brennons in the beginning of the 3rd for leaving the bench to early after the period ended that was the icing.Terrible officiating again in Moncton I thought i was done with the horrible calls in Moncton after the Memorial Cup run last season... I will totally agree, after the many many years I've been following hockey, I have NEVER seen the "leaving the bench too early" penalty..how idiotic was that?? Not to mention the easy calls that weren't! Marquart having a stick up his jersey comes to mind and I'm sure many others for both sides

Everytime the FogDevils are in town regardless of the score, it is usually a very boring game to watch, probably due to the fact that St.John's plays the trap game and that is the only way they can compete and also they are a very dirty team, no wonder they take so many penalties. It just seems like games against these guys are like watching paint dry, while other division rivals are pretty exciting games to watch.

Come on man, you cant expect a second year team to come in and 'out skill' a team whos near the top of the division. Either play the way we have been ( which seems to be working ) or take a page out of the Saint John play book who seem to be going for skill ( getting rid of bergeron/bouchard). Becuase that seems to be doing wonders for the Dogs. gimmie a break

I thought it was a fun game to watch...at least everybody seemed alive! Guys weren't afraid to hit, nothing wrong with that. It wasn't a runaway game like the last one we played against Dogs and there were some nail bitting moments, like the last minute of play when we had one in the box, Devils added an attacker..anything could of happened. We could go on and on about the reffing, but we do that every game... Overall I felt I had my $14.50's worth.

ya claws cause their were so many dirty plays in that game, and dont forget the Wildcats are angels. Also claws depending on what your team does at the trade deadline if you actually go for it this year take a pic of the Devils cause the Cats will be very bad to watch after this season then again you are the type of fan who would stop attending.
Only difference between us and the Sea Dogs is the Devils built a dirty reputation last year thaT followed them this season even thou they anit as dirty or tough, where as the Dogs still are looking for a rep enjoy this season claws cause their wont be too many highs next year

Telling us to enjoy this season because next season is going to suck. Well guess what? This season hasn't sucked at all so far and as of now I see no reason why next season will "suck" either. But you can keep on hoping...

as for your team, they are weaker this is the same Devils team you destroyed 10-0,and 10-1 on home ice last year and this year you barely walked out with a 4-3 win my opinion 5on 5 the Devils owned you but of course we never have much 5 on 5 always someone shorthanded

If Welton would skate as fast when he is chasing the puck as he did when Spencer was chasing him, he would be quite a player.
Some carryover from training camp and the trouble that Welton's mouth gets him in to...............

Surprise surprise, trouty is back. Hate to break it to you, St. John's did NOT own the play 5 on 5, there were times when both teams had some sustained pressure but no team was more dominant than the other. No one team dominated the game. You can sit there and whine and complain about always being shorthanded and blame "homer" Q refs. But it's amazing if you hold a guy, hook a guy or just plain use your stick on a guy you will get penalized.... or in Bachand's case an axe... The reffing in last nights game was subpar, a lot of calls were missed on both sides. Until the Fog Devils change their style of play, they will continue to receive more penalties than their opposition. And thank you Captain Obvious for telling us we are weaker this year... it's something we knew already long ago...

We had one in the box and still managed to score, so you can't say you lost because you spent alot of time being shorthanded
