I keep hearing people bring up the point that "Robert Irving wants to win" as reasons that the Cats won't sell. You people that say that don't seem to realise that Robert wants to win the Memorial Cup, not 2 rounds of playoffs. At some point, somebody has to look at the big picture and realise that the best chance at a Championship is in 08-09 with the Q hosting, probably in Chicoutimi or Shawinigan. This year's team has done a great job at outworking better teams all year, what people have to realise is that if you add 2-3 good players trying to go for it, it will kill all the chemistry that was built up all year...by adding to this club, they may actually make it worst because guys like MacLellan Morehouse Emmanuele Ouskun would end up in lesser roles, at times in the press box. When looking at the big picture, they can move 1-2 d-men plus Marquardt(assuming Columbus wants him pro next year, something the WC should know with 95% certainty). Bourdon has only played like 30% of the games, so his loss will not affect the team that much. Marquardt and MacDonald would definitely hurt...however, if you move those 3, some talent has to come back the other way...a solid 20 year old(4-5 teams have extra ones) d-man, 2 or 3 good young players that can contribute now(Ward, Brannon, Barberio, Cusak, Tessier, Stinziani as examples), plus maybe a FA or 2...I still think you have a .550 team at worst .500 abnd can get to the 2nd round. There is still solid leadership in the room(Gaudet Morehouse Sniderman Emmanuele) and goaltending should still be a strong point. The kids are playing better lately(Lepage Labelle Lessard Pianosi). For those 3 players, even if teams are not ready to overspend, you should still get...3 blue chip young players(16 or 17), 2 or 3 early round picks plus 1-2 veterans at the draft. All 3 of those players can be impact guys, they have won a Presidents Cup and played in the Memorial Cup...in Bourdon's case he has 1 WJHC gold and is playing for another...Marquardt brings size along with his great finish...possibly 3 of the top 5-6 players on the market with Gatineau Cape Breton Lewiston maybe BC Quebec Bathurst still shopping. So is this you admitting publicly that your trade is bullshit? All I see is a post suggesting he doesn't agree with those trades ... he didn't actually make the trades ... he just posted the information ... that doesn't mean he likes them.

orginal thread title: Re: 2 deals to be announced tomorrow
** first it was deals to be announced..sounds certain to me
now thread title: unconfirmed rumors
**now he is back tracking and saying rumors not confirmed and edits in he thinks they are BS. Hey anyone can go around saying anything they want and then go back edit it later.
Billy have the balls to leave your posts as you orginally typed them. if you feel differently later, then add a new piece to it.
as far as the deal happening.. I cant see it and hope it does not happen..

Has anyone heard anything about Moorehouse and Gaudet to Lewiston. Got this from a guy who talked to a guy etc. So take it for what it's worth. Would those two get us Ward and a pick? Check this out. www.hockeyscene.com/hockeyscene/

Why would we trade our two best leaders? They are worth ALOT more then what you can get in a trade for them. Please read gonshow's signature ;D

Correct me if I'm wrong ... but I believe proper seasonal worker and/or unemployed northshore grammar should read "them there trades" ... and sometimes the "there" is pronounced "thar".

Moncton Wildcats General Manager and Head Coach John Torchetti is emphatic in stating there is no deal imminent between his team and the OEI Rocket. He said he had not even talked to the Rocket about a deal. He did say he was talking a couple of other teams. A rumour had been making the rounds both in Moncton and the Island that something was coming down.

Hockeyscene states Torchetti has emphatically denied the PEI rumour (but not Shawinigan .... hmmmnnnn....). Of course, Hockeyscene also "confirmed" Danny Flynn as our new head coach and GM this summer .... ooooops.... The Shawinigan rumour actually makes sense ... I get the feeling Labelle is not really Torchetti's favourite player, but at the same time, he is a very good prospect who likely will score a lot at 19 and 20.

Part Two, Welton to Lewiston? Nahh.
