Is this the last game for him as a Wildcat? If it was it was his best game of the year ... he was solid in all zones.

If he indeed is being shopped, the Cats couldn't have asked for a better game from him to finish out the first half of the season. Any scout in attendance had to be impressed. I'm also surprised Welton was not named 3rd star ahead of Lepage.

The Rumour I heard at the rink Friday is that Welton and possibly the rights to John Heffernan will be going to Lewiston. Not sure what we would be getting back.

Heh, I hadn't thought of that one, Palm Sander. I called it when he scored ;D Gotta love the Gordie Howe Hat trick. Another one who could have had his last game in a Cats uniform, A-Mac didn't impress me with his bonehead tactics in his own end in front of the net

Doesn't deserve the GH trick.....it was a nothing fight.....Gordie would have been embarssed.......

Is this the last game for him as a Wildcat? I think MacDonald is a guy who looks like he's been traded, the last 2 games he's really struggled. Ouskun Emanuele and Pianosi are getting more ice time.

I could certainly understand how he could find it hard to focus with something like that happening behind the scenes.

All of the vets know how the game works and all of the high end guys should know there is a good chance they will be traded this year......

Yes ... but that also means Samson has no uncertainty ... no worries ... he knows he is going ... has had time to deal with it ... and knows he is going to a team that will be hunting for a championship ... not a bad set of circumstances for him. MacDonald (and a few others) face the uncertainty of not knowing where they are going ... or even if they are going.
