If I recall...the hit on Pianosi was called as checking from behind. Wrong. It was called elbowing. No elbow was involved with the hit.

I'm pretty sure it was "elbowing" Well, maybe. But if we are talking about the hit that was near the penalty box area... it was checking from behind, if we are talking about a diferent one, then elbowing it is! We could be talking 2 dif. hits here.. I'm talking about that hit

Happened right in front of me ... and I watched the replay in slow mo on the big screen. Sheppard fit Pianosi from behind, with his elbow, into the boards ... call it what you want, it was definitely a penalty ... it was a greasy hit by a guy with a reputation for playing greasy...

I think to have a quality player like either Sauve or Tessier for the next three years is worth Bourdon. If we can get a first or even second round draft as well or even better both players then that would insure that we will be competitive next year and especially the year after. We could screwup a win-win deal if we become too greedy. It would nice to have that happen. I would think Patrick is more concerned with next year for that team however. He has a very solid base team.

Is Bezeau still on the active roster? I would love to see him slip through the cracks and end up in the MJAHL in Campbellton.

You are right, that's probably is the deciding factor. Myself, I think Esposito needed to fill out before he's ready to jump directly to the NHL if he's only 18 next year. His play is probably good enough but he's just not filled out quite enough. Mind you I'm going on last years observations.

If he is drafted by Phialdelphia, St.Louis, Columbus or another team with scoring issues, he could stick at 18, stranger things have happened. He's not yet "filled out" but he isn't exactly a 160lbs peanpole either.

there was like a big thing after the game wen Patrick Roy turn around and started talking and stufff at the Ref , it seems that the last goal that went him acording to him was tip in by Marquarts Skate .

Even if it hit Marquardt's skate, it's still a good goal as there was no kicking motion. Roy is just looking for somwething to whine about, probably things refs would rather give him the benefit of the doubt instead of having to listen to him.

I wondered why Marquardt didnt get credit for the goal, it sure looked like it went off his skate, but Patrick doesnt really have an argument on that one, Marquardt clearly didnt intentionally direct it in with his skate.

I thought that Marquardt had scored the goal on a tip too ... but I couldn't see him get his stick or anything on it at all. When they announced Samson as the goal scorer I looked again and could see him tipping it ... and it looked like it went right through Marquardt's legs ... not touching him at all.

IMO, Roy was complaining because he thought there was goalie interference. He kinda stopped when he saw the replay from the overhead cam.
This being said, from what I've seen, Roy will yell a the ref at the end of every loss. It's something the league should look into.
