Yandle was called up to replace an injured Keith Ballard. Ballard will be out for 4-5 weeks. Yandle will be in the lineup when they play Detroit tonight.
Good luck to Keith and hopefully he can take full advantage of his time in the NHL and create a spot for himself.

It's usually Steve's job to be the jackass but sorry to say, this has already been posted.

Watched some of the game - Yandle played a low key game and got a lot of PP time. Didn't look out of place.

Letang and Staal each scored their first NHL goals in a Pens win tonight. Did the leafs win or did they blow a 6-3 lead in the third?(former cats goalie in nets for that game)
Berner and Thoresen each with an assist so far tonight.

Actually, when I was watching it the PA announcer in Edmonton had credited the goal to Brad Winchester... and the Edmonton broadcasters credited the goal to Thoreson... and looking over NHL.com this morning, I noticed that they too have credited the goal to Thoreson... so it looks like he has his first NHL goal. Good for him. Couple of other interesting facts from that game... Jonathan Cheechoo and Ryan Smyth BOTH had natural hat tricks in this game... also, Ryan Clowe fought Matt Greene.

Also of note, Ryan Smyth's hat trick was the fastest in Oilers history, beating Wayne Gretzky's record.
