Assuming everything goes as planned with the rookies etc. What are we going to do with the extra 20's we have? A.Mac, Welton and Gaudet are pretty much locked I am sure but how many are we going to carry. I can't see us with any more than 4. Belanger seems to me the most likely choice but he did not enjoy sitting out last year AT ALL. I don't think he will take it very well this year either. Hopefully there is a plan to trade some of these guys. There may be some interest in Spencer and Belanger but obviously more in Welton and A.Mac and probably Gaudet too. When do we trade off some of these vets? Is it better to do it now or wait til the X mas season?

They could get the call at midseason if one or both of Welton and MacDonald are traded.

That will mean that there are more positions available then would appear. I can see Welton, MacDonald, Marquardt and either Samson or Bourdon being excellent trade material.

I think Marqhardt's trade value will increase from the start of camp to the X mas deadline as he will see more ice time and have a more offensive role on the team. If he uses his body the way he was at the end of the season last year I think he is going to surprise some people. But then on the othere hand do we really want to trade him as he will probably be here next season and we won't have as many 20's next season.

Not sure on anybody else's opinion but, I'd like to know what people think about our offensive firepower or lack of. Are we gonna score goals this year with what we have now seeing a lot of goals are leaving the team from last year. Who do you think will be our first line. The biggest player I am curious about is Moorehouse. I think he can really step up his game and be a very good offensive threat.

I can see him popping 20 goals this year.

A lot our offense will be generated by newcomers that have done quite well in Midget AAA. We have no way of knowing how well they will do. We have excellent defensemen and strong stand-up veterans beside them on offense. We also should have enough size to to give them room and defend them. This should be a good year to watch these quys grow and I think there will be more offense then you know.

Hard to say what will happen as camp progresses, but I think Jerome Samson will put up 80 points this year.

I have a question... We all know that Pineault is signed and will play pro this year but is he and the rest of the signed players(karsums, Goulet, Yandle, etc...) still obligated to come to training camp? Cus i know that Pineault will be in moncton in 2 days so i was wondering if he was obligated to come or just decided to come for some early training before heading to pro camp.

Its not uncommon for signed players to come to their junior teams training camp prior to heading to NHL rookie camps. Just a little extra workout before heading off to the big leagues.

I think he'll be the 3rd line center and play mostly a defensive/physical role. Guys like Voroshilov Martikanen Labelle Cameron Eagles Lessard should get a shot at the top 2 lines.
