We should make the playoffs, and possibly even win a playoff round, but I wouldn't expect much more than that. We should focus on building for our next run in two to three years.

Well...winning one playoff round would put us in the top 8...you do the math and see how many teams he has listed.

I stand corrected. I was just commenting on Moncton being "dangerous" next year. Competitive, maybe, but dangerous? Maybe the year after, but not this coming year. I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, just trying to be realistic.

If Gatineau gets Trukhno they will have a very strong first line and should be pretty dangerous if they get some good goaltending. Cape Breton will be dangerous if Pavelec comes back and I expect Lewiston and Bathurst to be 2 and 3 respectively but only if Bathurst makes a deal for a a goalie.

I got to think that Val Dor with Samson, Marchand and possibly Goulet will be in there as well.

is it confirmed samsom is gone? If you can assume that Bourdon will not be in Vancouver after that lack luster year here. Don't get me wrong he was a solid Dman, but I don't know if he would be ready for NHL. Hey nobody would like Samson to stay here more than me.

Is he not under going surgery again?

So that will cause more of a set back. We might just see Mr. Luc back next year..

That would be great for him. But from a selfish point of view I would love to see him return. I think he would be a great leader for the younger kids that will be coming up..
