Moncton (1) - appears Belanger is the odd man out, he can play in the Q. Quebec (2) - Veilleux and Robillard are both solid vets, not spectacular, but respectable. Victoriaville (1) - Bezeau appears to be the odd man out... Bezeau would be a good 20 yr old acquisition for any team ... except us of course. Belanger may be the "odd man out" if we don't trade anybody ... but Welton and A MacDonald are very marketable and could be moved by September ... opening space for Belanger and possibly D MacDonald to maintain the veteran presence on D. What I'm saying is we may keep what is left rather than who we think are our best. Highest market value, baby! Whoever gets you the most, deal them. Be it during the August trading period, the October period or the Xmas period... though I wonder how the vets would react to a rotating 20's scenario. Could backfire on the club and decrease values across the boad for all three. Welton and A Mac are of a skill set that makes them hard to sit... but Belanger was reportedly NOT impressed with sitting at some point this past season (was that late regular season or early playoffs? Can't remember) Anyway, get what you can out of one (or more) of them... of course, I am not the GM.... but then again, nobody else is, either.

I see St.John's keeping Pots for some reason,I thought Pots added a lot of character to the team, and where its only are second season, and by all means we anit going far I see them keeping him for another year (thats just my opinion) I thought Pots even thou not very skilled worked his butt off most nights

Agree about dealing the guys with the high market value - but it looks as though the former regime, by not moving someone at the draft, has decided to wait and deal their high value guys at Xmas when prices are higher - who knows what the new guy will do...

I think alot of teams are still waiting to find out who is returning as a 20 yr old and who may make the jump to the pros ... so not all teams really know if they will need to add a 20 yr old ... and at the draft it was even less certain. They also don't want to trade for a kid that might not be available ... a conditional trade can protect them but its still a headache they'd rather not deal with.

Stephane Goulet will be back as a 20 yr old, but will probably be traded to a contending team at Xmas or before!!!

no goulet will be back in the Q Talk to me in September. ...and if he is back in the Q he would end up in VD anyways unless Bourdon makes the Canucks.
