Obviously they don't give this award for actual defensive play then. If the Memorial Cup is indicative of his play all year. Give away after give away

Keith's play in the Memorial Cup tournament is far from indicative of his play this season. He is by all means the CHL Defenceman of the year......not of the Memorial Cup though. He still has the final to add to any negative connotation around his play. I am keeping the faith!

At least the CHL got the Offensive player award right.

At least the CHL got the Offensive player award right. Listen up you miserable little shit....there's good natured razzing between fans and then there's uncalled for yappers like you. Why don't you spend your afternoon at the children's hospital telling them there's no Santa? Keith Yandle went from high school hockey last year to winning a very prestigious national award this year and deserves better than anonymous sniping from the likes of you.

Unfortunately jealousy is rearing its ugly head from other maritime Q fans.

From the way he has played in the Memorial Cup you would think he was still playing high school hockey. I just think that the defensive award should go to a player that plays well in both ends of the and while is very talented in the opposing zone he is a liabilty in the defensive zone. Hopefully today's mistakes won't cost the Wildcats.

Unfortunately jealousy is rearing its ugly head from other maritime Q fans. Jealousy has nothing to do with it. I just don't agree with the selection for the defensive player, but I do agree with the Goaltender and Offensive player selections. They are very deserving. But if it makes you feel and better, Congrats to Yandle on winning his award. I just think it is like Paul Coffey winning the Norris Trophy in the NHL, he is one dimensional

these players were picked before the tourny started....if you had of been down to family fest you would have noticed the name plates were on the trophries and covered by duct tape
