That little talk of Patrick with Charron was/could of been a turning point! Immediately after that the Remparts were on 5-3 PP. He sure does seem to influence the referee IMO. Now this game being broadcasted will show this to all! Someone in the Q brass better wake up to this shit............ Cats are playing 6 against 7 and still came ahead......... All good points. What are you wearing? ;D

What game were you watching ? Charron called a very good game and he picked on Quebec more than us ... but everything he called was deserving of a penalty.

Playoff hockey at its best. WHAT A GAME!!! Whoever thought these 2 teams would take it easy since they were both assured their spot in the Mem Cup was dead wrong! It started slowly. The Cats seemed nervous and paying too much respect to the Remparts. No goals in the 1st. I thought for a while that the 1st goal might be the winner. Then the 2nd period happened. Pineault is a man on a mission. Karsums and the entire 2nd line were also playing very well. The third line kept the Radulov line quiet at 5-on-5. Tight-checking third period where no one wanted to make the mistake that would cost the winning goal. TIMMMMMMMMYYYY!!!!! Who would have thought that Spencer would score the winner in OT? I didn't think he would even touch the ice in OT. Tordjman showed tonight why we got him in the trade period. He was very solid. Made some very big saves. If i had slept more than 3 hours a night during the past week, I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. I'm on some high after this one. This is going to be an excellent series if the 1st game is any indication. Noooooooo stop it with how awesome it was........... I coulda been there tonight!!!!!! I was scheduled to have a doctor's appointment (long, long story) in Halifax today, and after the doctor I was going to make a detour to Moncton to see this game. But due to my dad needing me to do him a favour in Halifax and it not being doable today, I got my appointment changed to next Wednesday. Now I'm kicking myself- DAMMIT I coulda been there for this classic!!!! The Memorial Cup had better be good now............ I hope whoever it was on this board that predicted it'll be a letdown from the Q final is wrong!!!!!

Same as everybody else.....yes he had a good game but the fact Roy having a tlak with him sure is too much of a coincidence...........Come on now that 5on3 rigth after that??? In the 3rd he put the whistle away> So are you saying Roy doesn t have an influence on the Ref?

That kid gets ridiculous ice time.

Moncton had a stretch where they were lacking discipline and it happened to be shortly after Roy had his little talk. Did the Ref force Moncton to take penalties ?

Not that I typically agree with the Sportsnet commentators, but even they said after each of the two calls prior to the 5 on 3 that perhaps Patrick Roy's comments to the referee has influenced his decision. I agree that overall, Charron did a pretty good job, but these two penalty calls were borderline at best, and he let other worse things go throughout the game.

In the two other leagues:
OHL - Peterborough 6 at London 5 Peterborough leads series 1-0
WHL - Moose Jaw 1 at Vancouver 5 Vancouver leads series 1-0

I can see now how Radulov can rack up that much ice time, talk about floating.. the guy barely skates back on defense. The only time I notice him work hard is when he either has the puck or has a chance to get it.

i think we should hit radulov and hard every chance we get and let roys temper tantrums do the rest for us pretty hard to concentrate when your coach is screaming in your face. on another note in warm up one of radulovs teammates sent him a poor pass and he went over and started bitching at him . sunday night my sign will read ;" NO CLASS RADULOV " ;D ;D ;D

No but Roy sure seems to have influence the refs into calling penalties to the Cats.IMO So then which penalty calls do you think were bogus ? The one that I recall the most is the one on Bartulis. The face off was in our zone. Bartulis and a Rempart (can't remember who) got tangled up and they both went to the ice. The ref called Bartulis for hooking. The Rempart skated to the bench laughing his ass off. IMO the ref didn't need to call a penalty there. They were both guilty. What got me were the couple of non-calls on obvious penalties. First, when Morehouse got dumped in the corner I believe in the first period. Second, when a Rempart took Marchands helmut (and head) off next to the bench. I was impressed that Marchand didn't lose it like he normally would. He stood for a second in disbelief that there wasn't a call and then went to the bench. Both of these were done in front of the Ref yet no call. The game was much better in the 1st, 3rd and OT when the Ref let them play. Of course you couldn't ask for a better ending. Can't wait for Sunday....Should be even better.

I agree, after the talk, I knew we were going to get a couple of even up penalties and yes they may have atually been penalties, but as Rikc pointed out, they both should have went not just Bart.
