The last I heard it was going to be in before the Mem Cup so I cant see it being during the playoff run.

The last I heard it was going to be in before the Mem Cup so I cant see it being during the playoff run. I would hope that they would test run the clock for a few games in the playoffs before they use the clock for the memorial cup on national tv. I am sure glitches will happen and the time keepers and video people would like to become proficient on the new clock before the start of the mem cup. But what I am I thinking...why plan ahead, plug and play would be a lot more interesting. I know the just the guy to ask and if he has an answer I will post.

I think if hey don't use it for a couple of games prior, to the memorial cup they are looking for trouble... Totally agree, there are still games where they can't operate the old one properly (and before anyone jumps down my throat saying it is a hard job, blahblahblah, yes, I have done it before, and yes, it is easy...) - trying out a new one for the first time on national TV (or for that matter during the league finals if we get that far) is just poor planning - and you know what they say, those who fail to plan, plan to fail...

Bernie the time keeper said that the new time clock was soposed to be here for the first of May but last he heard it was delayed till May 9. He really wants to have a game or two under his belt before he is tested on national TV but may not have a choice since it keeps getting delayed.

This is nothing about the scoreclock but I was at the Coliseum yesturday and they've started the renovations. Part of the suspended ceiling out in the mezzanine is missing. I heard they are putting the platform for the floor in the next few days or so. And also there are new shots on goal clocks up. Same place and pretty much the same, but black..

It will be nice to see the coliseum updated. Maybe with the memorial cup coming they will start using the facility to its full potential...
