If you look at the points per game Bernier has and work it out to the number of games that Crosbaby has played, Steve is doing 63% of the numbers that the big star is. Way to go Steve!
Bernier is just starting to hook on, stay tuned.

Bernier is just starting to hook on, stay tuned. What Bernier is doing is great, but he is doing it with a great centerman in Marleau and with little or no pressure. Crosby is 18 and supposed to save the franchise in Pittsburgh.

Not to mention 63% isn't really that close.

Check the ice time, I bet Crosby gets a ton more than Bernier.

Ice time per game:
Crosby : 20:06
Bernier : 13:16
Also Bernier is +7, where as Crosby is a -8

Not trying to shit on Bernier but Pittsburgh has absolutely no D. I am really happy to see Bernier doing so well up there.

Pittsburgh as a team is a -77 and San Jose is a +17. And I bet since Bernier has been there it the Sharks have been even better then that (because of Joe Thornton's impact). The fact is that Crosby is playing on a terrible team and putting up better numbers than Bernier, who is on a decent team, playing with far better linemates. Crosby is far more of a star then Bernier is, at least at the moment.

APPLE | ORANGE | 18 yrs old | 20 yrs old | 5-11 WT: 193 | HT: 6-2 WT: 230 | Franchise Player | Another Power Forward | Pressure to save the franchise | Pressure to play his given role | Pittsburg | San Jose | Lemieux, Palfy, Recchi gone = No linemates | Better supporting cast |
Bernier is good, and he might even blossom to 100pts in a few years, but comparing him to Crosby is not being fair IMO.

I wonder who will put up more points from now to the end of the season?
