The first tie breaker is the number of wins and Quebec would have the edge there.
Basically, we have to win 2 more games than Quebec to finish ahead of them.

In other words, they need to lose at least two of their last 3 games. I can see them losing against Chicoutimi, but that's it. We missed our chance when we played them 1 month ago and in our two games against Bathurst.

Well, although the season is far from over (as far as determining the final standings go), Quebec looks like they are going to make it interesting. Baie Comeau has beaten them 6-3, and also outshot them 37-35. That now makes us tied with Quebec with two games each remaining. This could make the season showdown versus Bathurst on Sunday quite a game.

Best scenario is the following :
Quebec - loses to Chicoutimi Quebec - win against Rimouski
Moncton - wins against PEI Moncton - wins against Bathurst
Chicoutimi - win against Quebec Chicoutimi - OT loss against Shawinigan
Expecting Quebec to go 0-2 is a bit unrealistic, our best chance is for them to split their remaining games but we NEED to win our next 2.
If we split our games, the only way we can get first is for Quebec to get no more than 1 point and Chicoutimi get nor more than 3 points...
We are sorta in the drivers seat as Chicoutimi can help us by beating Quebec.
This is getting kinda exciting isn't it?

And some people said there was no exciting playoff races this year.

We are sorta in the drivers seat as Chicoutimi can help us by beating Quebec. There is no "sorta" about it ... we are not in the driver seat ... Quebec is. Quebec can simply win the rest of its games to clinch first overall. We cannot ... we need the help of another team.

If we win both they wont be able to catch Moncton.

This question has probably already been asked but i looked around first and couldn't find it. In the crossovers, is the team with home ice advantage the one with the most points or the one that finished first in their division?

From what I understand....say ummm Cape-Breton and Halifax make it in final 4 against Quebec and Chicoutimi. It would be Halifax @ Quebec and Chicoutimi @ Cape-Breton. Even though Cape-Breton has less points then Chicoutimi they are the number one seed in the Atlantic at that point. Not 100% sure though.

Except if the topped ranked team left in the East was Victoriaville(cross over team) they can not have home ice advantage against any team from the West. Which is a moot point cause it is highly unlikely that the Tigre can over take PEI or the 7th seed
