Remparts thump the Oceanic 5-0 on opening night ... former Cats Yan Ouimet and Guillaume Veilleux both scored for the Remparts.
I think it is going to be a long year in Rimouski, after they ran it up on teams all the second half of last season, payback is going to be a bitch...

Blake Nill's SMU Huskies proved that playing down to inferior opponents is a mistake.Rimouski ran up scores because they had a good team and couldn't be stopped.Good, talented teams get lazy and get into bad habits if they don't play hard all the time and play down to the level of poor competition.Too bad for teams that suck, you get what you deserve if you get pummeled. Riki may pay the piper this year but they certainly did what they had to last year(and I hate the Oceanic).

But once the outcome of the game is assured I prefer seeing the dominating team roll 4 lines ... and give their younger players more icetime in key situations ... PP and PK ... etc.
