Just an FYI… the details will be released in the papers on Monday… there were three more cuts made Saturday by the Cats. They are:
TANGUAY Charles 87/02/01
OBELNICKI Steve 86/09/23
PENNER Brayden 86/05/27
Cheers!

Surprised of Tanguay a bit but not the other 2 though! Tanguay had been outplayed by several in camp ... he never seemed to improve from that solid camp he had at 16 ... Gardiner, Emmanuele, Demers, MacDonald all outplayed Tanguay ... he just didn't play like he wanted it. Obelnicki didn't do the things he needed to do to get noticed ... he did throw a few big hits but other than that not much. He never seemed to give you 100% on his shifts and seemed to be running around in 3rd gear ... leaving 4th and 5th for another day. I wish we had seen him drop the gloves and show us what he could do ... we never really saw that from him at home. I guess Spencer and Moore made him redundant. Maybe Obelnicki will land in Bathurst or PEI before he leaves the area. Penner made too many mistakes to get one of the 8 D spots ... hard working kid but just made bad decisions. No surprises at all.

Tanguay really struggled, even in the scrimmages. Wasn't taking the man, difficulty clearing the puck. Too bad really, I thought he played well when inserted into the line-up last year, for someone who got little ice time.
Obelnicki's loss to Bergeron probably sealed his fate. He should have thrown some punches after that big hit on Starenky at the 4-plex. That was a hell of a hit, but that's probably all I'll remember him for.

Them 2 hits at the 4 plex are the only thing that saved his ass for awhile anyway!
