Big improvement over Blouin. Luc had 3.51 GAA, 88.7 Save % in 15.37 Games for Bathurst. Much better stats than Bouin's 4.07 GAA, 85.9 Save % in 9.56 Games for Baie Comeau. This could be the back-up we need. I hope we keep him 'til Christmas to give him a chance.

This could be interesting. As stated, LeBlanc's rookie numbers were superior to Blouin's. In the rookie goaltending stats, 8 rookies were ahead of LeBlanc as far as GAA and 11 were worse than his. Hmmm... another nice option for the Cats.

Blouin has been strong for the entire camp up until his hiccup on Friday night ... he was the easy choice for #2 up until that game Friday. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him a few more tries before I crap on him and call for him to be cut. He sucked on Friday night ... no denying it ... he lost his focus and never regained it. He needs to be mentally tough and if he is not then he is not the goaltender for us. Everybody has a bad night ... no big deal ... it didn't cost us anything.

Did they completely give up on him, did he have a bad camp, was he at camp, etc? ??

No way they'd keep LeBlanc next year at 20 so it was obvious he would be cut ... has nothing to do with how good he was in camp.

He was also our 3rd or 4th best goalie in camp....might not mean anything, but that's the way I saw it.

Since the team has picked Bouts, he is obviously gonna be there and will turn me back to his side if he plays like he did in the 2nd half last year. Martel and Gougeon, IMO, were also ahead of him during camp. Luc didn't look as good as I thought he did last year........maybe it will be better in Moncton... ;D
