Out-hustled, sloppy passing, bad luck in front of their net, and some weak goals in ours. Oh, and most important, the fights, one absolute beating ( on Morehouse) and a draw (Spencer), although he took one big solid punch to his chin.

Oh, I must mention that I loved Obelnicki's hit/elbow that sent Starenky into our bench in the last minute. Wish the hell I'd see more of this aggressiveness from him.

On a side note....I wouldn't have Blouin backing up a sheet of plywood covering our net let alone Blanchard. Did he ever let in a lot of weak goals tonight..........3/4" plywood at that.

Hey Ric, Don't really disagree with you about the game. I think Goulet got two goals, but I'm not certain he would even believe he played tonight. The vets were terrible, most of them at least. Even though Morehouse took a pounding, you gotta love that kid, he's got heart (and one sore face tonight). What can you say about Spencer, he got his head snapped back in the fight so while it seemed he was doing good before that, the rest was somewhat downhill but who can blame him. Is there an unwritten rule that when you pull the other guys jersey over his head you don't hit him. It seemed to me that Spencer could have easily landed a couple of freebees at then end.
On the other side of the rink, am I the only one who taught St John had a fast team and that it seemed like only little boy man Girard could follow them.
Who was counting the shots (56-26 for WC -does that included the 20 shots that missed the net)

You know, Jimmy Bonneau is only 20 years old and eligible to sign.

Floating, floating, floating.... to my count he only had his first shift in the 3rd with 8 mins. to go and that was on the PP. Perhaps Nolan benched him for lack of effort (which was justified).

Come on all you 'know it all's' (I read this site a lot and some of you always have something to say). Where are your posts tonight. I'm a wildcats fan and the game has been over for an hour. So get rid of your tears and give us some of your impressions of the game because the way I see it, my cheese and crackers were a lot better than the game. Maybe RKI will do a new promotion granting everyone a $10 off coupon for gas at the next game.
NEW COACH, NEW TEAM, ... DIDN'T SEE MUCH ATTITUDE (I know, it's only pre-season)

I don't think Pineault's near game shape yet, at least I hope not.

I don't think Pineault's near game shape yet, at least I hope not. Pineault played a "Graham" (of last year) style game tonight. Nolan won't put up with it and shouldn't. Maybe Pineault is the reason behind Nolan's quotes saying "Nobody is guaranteed a spot on the team this year". If that's the way Pineault is going to play all year I agree with Nolan. That was the worst effort I've seen by Pineault in sometime.

Same as last year, first one in the offensive zone, first back-checking.

I can read headlines in tomorow paper. SEADOGS BITE CATS Nolan still not worried, missing key guys in lineup, well Ted time to shake it off, your only missing Graham,Karsums and Adam, so with those 3 in, your still looking at mayby a 500 season. As for tonights play 3 words, Lousy lousy lousy,Pineault is not the player that he should be since he arrived last year ,yet to see what he can do. We need guys that can get in front of the net and not be afraid to get knock down. Seadogs came to play for Larue tonight and made his night for sure. They looked like a team that wont back down from anything no matter the size ,and bothes fights were a indication. PS WILDCAT FAN 100%

I was out of town and I didn't get to see the game tonight, but looking at the lineup the score didn't surprise me. I noticed my favorite flatfooted defense-man Penner was a -3. Watch him for 3 seconds any of the games and you will shake your head wondering why he is still in camp.
I notice that you all seem to saying that the team tonight is most of the team but it is not even close. Your not going to see Eagles, Moorehouse, Hepditch, Penner, Girard, Samson, .... and many of the other ones on the final team and loses like this one prove why.
I noticed also that Gardiner was one of a few non minus guys tonight. Did he play better than the others?
